Abstract:
An artificial leather includes a resin layer as the surface and a base fabric connected to the resin layer as the substrate. The base fabric comprises at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates. Each monolayer structure is woven with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in such layer or with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in one or more other layers to form a number of connecting points, such that at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates are connected with each other in the weaving process, forming a multi-layer integrated base fabric. The artificial leather incorporates a number of air vent holes distributed in the resin layer and the base fabric in the direction of thickness while retaining mechanical properties of tensile strength and tear resistance.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a conjugated fiber suitable for use as a crimped fiber capable of producing an artificial leather having highly dense texture and good quality. The present invention also provides a base body for an artificial leather and an artificial leather produced by using such conjugated fiber. The conjugated fiber of the present invention includes a conjugated fiber comprising a readily soluble polyester component and a less readily soluble component, and the readily soluble polyester component comprises a copolymerized polyester having 5 to 10% by mole of 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate copolymerized therewith and the readily soluble polyester component contains a polyalkylene glycol. The polyalkylene glycol is in the form of streaks extending in longitudinal direction of the fiber in the longitudinal cross section of the conjugated fiber.
Abstract:
An interior trim part made by a method that includes the steps of bringing a fiber web onto a conveyor, needlepunching the fiber web to form a base in contact with the conveyor, and introducing a binder component on the base. The binder component introduced on the base is a thermoplastic polymer in solid form. The method includes a step for heating the base to cause the thermoplastic polymer making up the binder component to penetrate the base over a thickness smaller than the thickness of the base.
Abstract:
A primary carpet backing including at least a first and a second layer of fibers, characterized in that both the first and the second layer of fibers is a nonwoven layer of randomly laid fibers, that both the first layer of fibers and the second layer of fibers has a uniform composition throughout the layer, wherein the linear density of the fibers is in the range of 1 to 25 dtex, wherein both the first layer of fibers and second layer includes at least two different polymers and wherein at least one polymer included in the first layer is different from the polymers included in the second layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an artificial leather having composite fibers and a method for making the same. The artificial leather includes a substrate and a flexible film. The substrate includes a plurality of composite fibers. Each composite fiber includes a first composition and a second composition. The first composition is a thermoplastic non-elastomer, and the second composition is a thermoplastic elastomer. The second composition accounts for 5% to 70% of the total weight of the composite fiber. The second composition at the intersecting points between the composite fibers is molten to form a flexible bonding point. The flexible film is located on a surface of the substrate, and the material of the flexible film is an elastic polymer or a latex. Therefore, the artificial leather has excellent textile sensation and physical properties.

A yarn for strands of an artificial turf ground cover, including a tape filament (4) having a core layer (8) and two outer layers (9) of a different material than the core layer (8), each on one of two opposite sides of the core layer. The core layer (8) contains at least polyester or polyolefin material, and the outer layers (9) contain high-density polyethylene. An artificial turf ground cover and a playing field including such a yarn and a method for producing such a yarn are also described. The high-density polyethylene has a relatively small coefficient of friction with the human skin and the yarn has a good shape recovery after deformation in spite of containing HDPE in outer layers.
Abstract:
A tufted nonwoven includes a face material which tufts a bonded nonwoven having a mixture of a plurality of bicomponent filaments 1 with a plurality of bicomponent filaments 2. At least bicomponent filaments 1 have component 11 and component 12. Component 11 exhibits a melting temperature Tm(11), and component 22 of the bicomponent filaments 2 exhibits a melting temperature Tm(22). Component 12 exhibits a melting temperature Tm(12), and component 21 of the second bicomponent filaments exhibits a melting temperature Tm(21), and Tm(12) is higher than Tm(21). The melting temperatures of components 11 and 22 and the melting temperatures of components 12 and 21 obey a relationship in which Tm(11) and Tm(22)>Tm(12)>first Tm(21) and optionally wherein the face material is bonded to bicomponent filaments 2 by a solidified melt of component 21. Also described are a bonded nonwoven and methods for their manufacture.
