The invention also provides methods for assessing the reliability of an assay for an analyte in a bodily fluid with the use of a fluidic device. Another aspect of the invention is a method for performing a trend analysis on the concentration of an analyte in a subject using a fluidic device.

摘要: A moisture sensor is disclosed which measures cumulative exposure to moisture. The moisture sensor comprises a matrix having a hygroscopic material, a first reagent, and a second reagent which interact only in the presence of water to produce a detectable, irreversible change in the matrix to provide a moisture indication. The moisture sensor may be incorporated with a disposable diagnostic device, whereby a method for preventing the use of such a disposable diagnostic device if exposed to excessive cumulative humidity is also disclosed.

摘要: A method is disclosed for stabilizing a conjugate of an enzyme and a member of a specific binding pair (enzyme conjugate). The method comprises the step of combining the enzyme conjugate with an effective amount of an antibody for the enzyme where the antibody does not substantially inhibit the activity of the enzyme. The invention has application to assays for the determination of an analyte wherein enzyme conjugates are employed. The improvement comprises employing as a reagent in the assay an immune complex of an enzyme conjugate and an antibody for the enzyme where the antibody does not substantially inhibit the activity of the enzyme. Compositions comprising such an immune complex and kits comprising such an immune complex in packaged combination with other assay reagents are also disclosed.
