The semiconductor device comprises a first semiconductor chip and a second semiconductor chip mounted over a package substrate which has a plurality of bonding pads arranged along the edges. The first semiconductor chip has a plurality of bonding pads for analog signals, and the second semiconductor chip has a plurality of bonding pads for high-voltage signals. The edges along which the bonding pads for analog signals are arranged and the edges along which the bonding pads for high-voltage signals are arranged are disposed along mutually different edges of the package substrate. Adjoining of electrodes or wirings for high voltage signals and those for analog signals over the package substrate can be easily avoided, and SI deterioration can be thereby restrained.

By combining the two-frequency CW modulation method with the frequency pulse CW modulation method, that is, by using combination with the two-frequency CW method when the relative speed occurs and the frequency pulse CW method when the relative speed is close to 0, even if the relative speed is 0, the IF signal obtained from the reflected wave from the forward vehicle can be generated to detect the existence of the ACC target vehicle, so that it is possible to realize a stable ACC following travel.

A millimeter wave radar for the purpose of automatic operation or collision prevention of a vehicle which solves the problem that a side lobe of a transmitted electromagnetic wave is reflected by surrounding bodies and the reflected wave is received, with the result that unnecessary bodies may also be detected. A layer higher in dielectric loss than a radome or a magnetic loss layer and a conductor layer in a mesh form are embedded in a part of the inside surface of the radome, whereby it is possible to provide a millimeter wave radar which is light in weight, excellent in weathering performance, inexpensive, and excellent in detection performance.

The bonding pads and the like are connected to bonding pads along edges of the wiring substrate with conductive wires. By thus disposing the microcomputer chip having multifunctionality and a larger number of terminals in a lower layer, the size reduction of a device and the like can be achieved.
