Abstract: One or more processors identify an occupant of a passenger vehicle, and then receive biometric sensor readings from a biometric sensor that is monitoring the occupant in real time, where the biometric sensor readings indicate a real-time emotional state of the occupant. The processor(s) generate a personal profile for the occupant of the passenger vehicle based on the biometric sensor readings. The processor(s) receive a desired destination and travel schedule for the occupant of the passenger vehicle, as well as environmental sensor readings indicating a real-time environmental state of the passenger vehicle. The processor(s) then create a travel route for the passenger vehicle based on the biometric sensor readings, the personal profile of the vehicle occupant, the desired destination and travel schedule, and the real-time environmental state of the passenger vehicle. One or more processors then transmit, to the passenger vehicle, directions for the travel route.

Abstract: A device for calculating a pulse period of a living body. The device includes a maximum value detecting unit that detects a maximum value of a biological signal received at a predetermined time interval, a peak value determining unit that determines whether the maximum value is a peak value of the biological signal detected by the maximum value detecting unit during a fixed time period, a calculating unit that calculates a rhythmic pulse period of a living body generating the biological signal based on a time interval between successive peak values of the biological signal; and a fixed time period changing unit that changes the fixed time period to a predetermined time period that corresponds to the time interval between the successive peak values of the biological signal.

Abstract: Individuals who suffer from certain kinds of medical conditions, particularly conditions that only sporadically exhibit measurable symptoms, can feel helpless in their attempts to secure access to medical care because, at least in part, they are left to the mercy of their condition to present symptoms at the right time to allow diagnosis and treatment. Providing these individuals with ambulatory extended-wear health monitors that record ECG and physiology, preferably available over-the-counter and without health insurance preauthorization, is a first step towards addressing their needs. In addition, these individuals need a way to gain entry into the health care system once a medically-actionable medical condition has been identified. Here, the ECG and physiology is downloaded and evaluated post-monitoring against medical diagnostic criteria. Medical specialists are pre-identified and paired up with key diagnostic findings, such that an individual whose monitoring data indicates a medical concern will be automatically referred and treated.

Abstract: A catheter may include electrodes for transvascular nerve stimulation. The electrodes may be positioned within lumens of the catheter and aligned with apertures in the outer wall of the catheter. The electrodes may produce focused electrical fields for stimulation of one or more nerves. In one embodiment, the catheter may include a set of proximal electrodes and a set of distal electrodes, and the proximal electrodes may stimulate a patient's left phrenic nerve and the distal electrodes may stimulate a patient's right phrenic nerve.

Abstract: In a system and method for reconstructing cardiac activation information, an analysis cardiac signal and a reference cardiac signal are accessed and processed to determine a first point of change in the analysis cardiac signal at which a derivative of the analysis cardiac signal diverges with respect to a derivative of the reference cardiac signal. The signals are processed to determine a second point of change in the analysis cardiac signal at which a different derivative of the analysis cardiac signal with respect to a different derivative of the reference cardiac signal. An activation onset time is assigned in the analysis cardiac signal at a point based on a mathematical association among the first point of change and the second point of change to define cardiac activation indicating a beat in the analysis cardiac signal.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product redirects a self-driving vehicle (SDV) to a physical location of a product provider. A self-driving vehicle (SDV) on-board computer on an SDV receives a current location and a planned route to an initial destination of the SDV. The SDV on-board computer receives information describing real-time physiological states of one or more occupants of the SDV, and then identifies a physical location of a product provider that provides a solution to ameliorate the real-time physiological states of the one or more occupants of the SDV. The SDV on-board computer then alters the planned route of the SDV to redirect the SDV on-board computer to autonomously drive the SDV to the physical location of the product provider.
