    摘要: A downshift control in an automatic transmission is disclosed wherein magnitude of servo activating hydraulic fluid pressure is temporarily decreased as a function of vehicle speed when the automatic transmission effects a downshift from a current gear ratio to a new gear ratio. Owing to this arrangement, a fluid operated frictional device associated with the current gear ratio is released quickly without any lag to allow quick increase in engine speed during the downshift with the throttle fully opened at a high vehicle speed, i.e., a power-on downshift at high vehicle speed.

Presence or absence of a fault to the primary pressure sensor or the secondary pressure sensor (particularly, fault of fixed output voltage) is judged based on the correlation between the output voltage of the primary pressure sensor and the output voltage of the secondary pressure sensor to prohibit the control of a primary pressure and a secondary pressure using the hydraulic pressure sensors when it is judged that there is a fault.

    摘要: A lockup control apparatus of a torque converter for a vehicle comprises a coast condition detecting section for detecting coast running of a vehicle, a lockup clutch slip detecting section for detecting a target slip generated between the input and output elements of the torque converter and a slip start capacity storing section, and a coast lockup control section for detecting a lockup capacity. The slip start capacity storing section detects a slip start capacity by once decreasing the lockup capacity to the sum of a last stored slip start capacity and a preset capacity and stores the slip start capacity while updating it. During the coast running a coast lockup control section controls the lockup capacity at a minimum lockup engagement capacity which is the sum of the newest slip start capacity and a predetermined capacity.

    摘要: Provided are devices and methods to minimize drag caused by abrasion powder between clutch plates and to prevent a faulty engagement or release of a dry clutch. A hybrid driving force transmission device is provided, wherein a multi-plate dry clutch is arranged in a sealed space and used for connecting/disconnecting transmission of a driving force is provided with drive plates, driven plates, friction facings, and a housing cover. The drive plates are splined to a clutch hub, and have, in the sections thereof that are splined to the clutch hub, vent holes for channeling the air flowing in the axial direction. The driven plates are splined to a clutch drum. The housing cover has an external air intake hole for drawing external air into the sealed space, and an external air discharge hole for discharging the airflow from the sealed space to the outside.
