摘要: The invention aims at selecting a recording sheet discharge mode in accordance with user's priority of printing speed or printed image quality. In the thermal transfer printer, when discharge concurrent with printing is selected, a microcomputer operates to rotate a mode motor to close a transport passage between a guide member and a platen roller by means of a sheet discharge plate. Starting printing by rotating the platen roller in this state, the leading end of a recording sheet is delivered to a discharge opening, which is defined by the guide member and a guide plate, and introduced between sheet discharge rollers and idler rollers. When separate discharge after printing is selected, the microcomputer starts printing without rotating the mode motor. The sheet discharge plate closes the discharge opening defined by the guide member and the guide plate. The leading end of the recording sheet is delivered to the transport passage between the guide member and the platen roller.

摘要: The timing of digital signal sampling at a receiver is continuously adjusted relative to a master clock used to initiate sending, by controlling a phase difference between the receiver sampling clock and the master clock in accordance with feedback of an error signal determined by detecting deviation of sampling clock timing from desired reference timing during both start-up operation and normal operation. Propagation delay scattering in the individual devices is compensated for by setting the sampling clock at a desired reference timing at start-up. Propagation delay scattering caused by fluctuation during device operation is compensated for by detecting the deviation of the sampling clock timing from reference timing based on received digital signals during normal operation and then continuously correcting the sampling clock timing on the basis of the detection result.

摘要: There are provided a bipolar-MOS IC device smaller than half-micron scale, and a combination of such IC device and external circuits. The IC device has an internal voltage generating circuit for generating an internal power source by using an external power source, the voltage of the internal power source being lower than that of the external power source. The internal voltage generating circuit includes an NPN transistor formed in an N-type region or N-type island within a P-type semiconductor substrate of the IC device, and a PMOS transistor formed in the N-type island. The collector of the NPN transistor and the source of the PMOS transistor are used as external power source terminals. The drain of the PMOS transistor is connected to the base of the NPN transistor. The gate is used as a control signal terminal. The emitter of the NPN transistor is used as an internal power source output terminal. A current path from the external power source input terminal and the internal power source output terminal is accordingly formed within the N-type island isolated from the P-type substrate.

摘要: Attempts are made to provide a novel transaldolase gene; a polypeptide encoded by this gene; a recombinant DNA obtained by integrating this gene; a microorganism carrying this recombinant DNA; and a process for producing an aromatic amino acid, an aromatic vitamin, L-histidine, riboflavin, a nucleic acid, a nucleic acid-associated substance, a novel saccharide, etc. by using the above microorganism. As the results of extensive studies, a novel transaldolase gene is isolated from chromosomal DNA of a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium as a DNA fragment complementary to the requirement for shikimic acid of a transketolase defective variant obtained as a variant with the requirement for shikimic acid belonging to the genus Corynebacterium. Further, a recombinant DNA containing this gene is constructed and transferred into a host microorganism, thereby achieving the objects as described above.

摘要: A thermal transfer printer which can use both an ink sheet provided with a positioning mark to indicate the top position of a set of three color ink patches necessary for producing one image, and an ink sheet provided with no such positioning mark, without the need of switching the operation mode. The thermal transfer printer has an optical sensor which can equally detect color change between 3rd and 1st color patches for the ink sheet provided with no positioning mark and color change between a positioning mark and 1st color patch for the ink sheet provided with the positioning mark. There is also disclosed an ink sheet cassette for use in the thermal transfer printer, the ink sheet cassette accommodating the ink sheet in which a positioning mark is coated with the same color(s) of ink as those for printing and information about the color sequence of the ink coated patches for printing is also recorded in the coated pattern of the positioning mark.
