The ECU calculates an index value indicating the charged state of the battery, and sets the control range of the index value. When a predetermined condition relating to the deterioration of the battery is satisfied, the ECU raises the upper limit value of the index value.

摘要: A vehicle navigation control system has primary prediction error width calculating means for calculating a primary near-distance error width between a forward extending line of the vehicle and a target path at a predetermined near-distance observing location and for calculating a primary far-distance error width between the forward extending line and the target path at a predetermined far-distance observing location. A secondary near-distance error width between a predicted path and the target path at the predetermined near-distance observing location, and a secondary far-distance error width between the predicted path and the target path at the predetermined far-distance observing location, are calculated by a secondary prediction error width calculation means. Steering angle calculating formula selecting means determines whether the target path is a straight path or a curved path with a large curvature, a constantly curved path, or other curved path in accordance with the error widths calculated by the primary and secondary prediction error width calculating means and selects an optimum formula from predetermined model formulas. Steering angle determining means substitutes the corresponding error widths into the selected model formula so as to determine a steering angle.

摘要: A vehicle is equipped with a battery configured so as to be rechargeable, a motor generator configured so as to generate the driving force of the vehicle by use of electric power stored in the battery, a switch configured so as to switch between generation of a command for extending the use period of the battery and stop of generation of the command, and an ECU for controlling the state of charge of the battery. The ECU sets the control range of SOC of the battery. When the switch stops generation of the command, the ECU sets the control range to a first range. Meanwhile, when a command is generated by the switch, the ECU sets the control range to a second range narrower than the first range.

摘要: Warping of a hybrid integrated circuit device 10 due to shrinkage on curing of a sealing resin 14 is suppressed. The hybrid integrated circuit device 10 includes: a conductive pattern 13 provided on a surface of a circuit board 11; circuit elements 15 fixed to the conductive pattern 13; thin metal wires 17 electrically connecting the circuit elements 15 to the conductive pattern; leads 16 which are connected to the conductive pattern 13 to become output or input and extended to the outside; and a sealing resin 14 which is made of a thermosetting resin and covers the circuit board 11 by transfer molding while at least a rear surface of the circuit board is exposed. Here, a thermal expansion coefficient of the sealing resin 14 is set to be smaller than a thermal expansion coefficient of the circuit board 11. Thus, warping of the circuit board 11 in an after cure step can be prevented.

摘要: In plasma displays in different inch sizes, there is a disadvantage in that because each of the plasma displays in different inch sizes has an output semiconductor device with a different outer shape, a pitch of the external lead and the number of the output semiconductor devices vary, so that printed circuit boards need be designed differently for the different inch sizes. A hybrid integrated circuit includes mounting portions which are composed of a conductive path on an insulated metal substrate, and into which at least an output semiconductor device of a discharge maintaining circuit is incorporated, and includes external terminals arranged at a constant pitch. When the inch size of the plasma display is changed, the mounting portions are designed to have a size enough to accommodate the output semiconductor device for the greatest inch size. Thus, the same hybrid integrated circuit is commonly used.

摘要: A warning system for a vehicle obtains image data by three-dimensionally recognizing a road extending ahead of the vehicle and traffic conditions, decides that driver's wakefulness is on a high level when there is any one of psychological stimuli to the driver or that driver's wakefulness is on a low level when there is not psychological stimulus to the driver, estimates the possibilities of collision and off-lane travel, and gives the driver a warning against collision or off-lane travel when there is the high possibility of collision or off-lane travel. Another warning system for a vehicle obtains image data by three-dimensionally recognizing a road extending ahead of the vehicle and traffic conditions, discriminates between automobile roads and open roads on the basis of the image data and a traveling mode in which the vehicle is traveling, determines patterns of driving operations and traveling motions in a given time at the initial stage of travel on the road when the road is identified to be an automobile road, repeats the determination of patterns at given time intervals, detects dozed driving through the comparison of a reference value and a measured value and gives the driver a warning against dozing when the driver's wakefulness declines.
