Abstract:
A light emitting key structure is provided. The key structure includes a base, a reflective sheet, a circuit board, an elastic member, a linkage mechanism, and a key cap sequentially disposed one on another in order. The reflective sheet is disposed on the base. The circuit board is made of a light guide material. At least one light source is bonded to a lateral side of the circuit board. The circuit board, together with the light source bonded to the lateral side thereof is disposed on the reflective sheet. The elastic member is directly coupled to the circuit board. The key cap is featured with a light transmission characteristic. Therefore, in operation, the light emitted from the light source can be directly guided into the circuit board, and then outputted from the light transmissive key cap, thus achieving the light emitting effect.
Abstract:
A filter for filtering noise generated by a differential signal having a specific wavelength transmitted by a first transmission line and a second transmission line is disclosed. The filter includes a multi-layer substrate, a first microstrip line and a second microstrip line. The first and the second transmission lines and the first and the second microstrip lines are disposed at the multi-layer substrate. In addition, one end of the first microstrip line and one end of the second microstrip line are electrically connected to the first and the second transmission lines, respectively, by passing through the vias, and the other end is in a floating state. The impedances of the first and the second microstrip lines match the impedances of the first and the second transmission lines, respectively. Thus, the first and the second microstrip lines may filter the noise generated by the differential signal having the specific wavelength.

This invention provides a container for a contact lens, comprising: a central recess; a peripheral groove surrounding the central recess; and a rim surrounding the peripheral groove; wherein the central recess is a curved surface having one or a plurality of continuous R values less than an R value of the contact lens in its natural state, and wherein the R value is a radius of curvature of a curved surface.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for managing storage devices are provided. The functionalities of smart card and micro SD card are integrated into a storage device to expand the effective storage capacity. The system includes a storage device having a storage area, a microcontroller, and a microprocessor. The microcontroller receives an access request, determines whether the access request conforms to a specific protocol or whether the access request is requesting to activate the microprocessor, and transmits the access request to a microprocessor when the access request conforms to the specific protocol or when the access request is requesting to activate the microprocessor. The microprocessor executes a Card Operating System (COS), and manages the storage area by performing the access request based on the COS. Further, the segmentation of expanded storage space and independent management/security mechanism for segmented spaces also make it possible to perform multi-applications for different card organizations/issuers.
Abstract:
Selecting a coding mode for coding video data by measuring a distortion sensitivity threshold for a pixel block, calculating a distortion threshold representative of the maximum distortion that may be effectively masked by the brightness and texture of the pixel block, estimating the distortion induced by coding the pixel block according to skip mode and coding the source pixel block with a predictive coding technique if the estimated distortion value exceeds the distortion threshold. The distortion sensitivity threshold may include, for example, a brightness value or a texture value. The contrast between the pixel block and the surrounding pixel blocks may also be considered such that if the contrast exceeds a contrast threshold calculated based on the measurement of brightness and texture, the source pixel block may be coded with a predictive coding technique even if the estimated distortion value does not exceed the distortion threshold.
Abstract:
A method of forming a device includes providing a substrate, and forming a solder bump over the substrate. A minor element is introduced to a region adjacent a top surface of the solder bump. A re-flow process is then performed to the solder bump to drive the minor element into the solder bump.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting mobile originated requests by a mobile station with a first subscriber identity card and a second subscriber identity card, executed by a processor, is provided. It is determined whether a preference setting has been enabled. A preferred subscriber identity card is obtained from the first subscriber identity card and the second subscriber identity card when the preference setting has been enabled. The mobile originated request is issued to a called party via the preferred subscriber identity card when the preference setting has been enabled.
Abstract:
A data reading method for a rewritable non-volatile memory module is provided, wherein the rewritable non-volatile memory module has a plurality of physical pages. The data reading method includes grouping the physical pages into a plurality of physical page groups and configuring a corresponding threshold voltage set for each of the physical page groups. The data reading method also includes respectively reading data from the physical pages of the physical page groups by using the corresponding threshold voltage sets. The data reading method further includes when data read from one of the physical pages of one of the physical page groups cannot be corrected by using an error checking and correcting (ECC) circuit, updating the threshold voltage set corresponding to the physical page group.
Abstract:
A strained silicon substrate structure includes a first transistor and a second transistor disposed on a substrate. The first transistor includes a first gate structure and two first source/drain regions disposed at two sides of the first gate structure. A first source/drain to gate distance is between each first source/drain region and the first gate structure. The second transistor includes a second gate structure and two source/drain doped regions disposed at two side of the second gate structure. A second source/drain to gate distance is between each second source/drain region and the second gate structure. The first source/drain to gate distance is smaller than the second source/drain to gate distance.
