摘要: The present invention provides multifunctional monomers, including, but not limited to include multifunctional methylene malonate and methylene beta-ketoester monomers; methods for producing the same; and compositions and products formed therefrom. The multifunctional monomers of the invention may be produced by transesterification or by direct synthesis from monofunctional methylene malonate monomers or methylene beta-ketoester monomers. The present invention further compositions and products formed from methylene beta-ketoester monomers of the invention, including monomer-based products (e.g., inks, adhesives, coatings, sealants or reactive molding) and polymer-based products (e.g., fibers, films, sheets, medical polymers, composite polymers and surfactants).

摘要: An essentially 100% solids, single-component, UV curable, low-viscosity, penetrating sealant composition for wood substrates and other porous substrates is prepared from an acrylate-methacrylate mixture, a functionalized resin, an unsaturated fatty acid triglyceride oil, and a photoinitiator. The sealant composition may further contain a metal catalyst, an amine synergist, fillers, pigments, dyes, flow and leveling additives, air release chemicals, UV absorbers, hindered amine light stabilizers, fungicides, insect repellents, and/or mold inhibitors. The sealant composition exhibits fast cure times along with resistance to degradation.

摘要: An aqueous dispersion contains pigment colorant particles that are present in an amount of at least 5 weight % and up to and including 80 weight %; a dispersing polymer that is a hexyloxy benzoic acid polymer; and an aqueous medium. The weight ratio of the pigment colorant particles to the dispersing polymer is from 19:1 to and including 2:1. Such aqueous dispersions can be incorporated into aqueous inkjet ink compositions that can be used for forming opaque images such as white images using inkjet printing methods.

摘要: Binder compositions and methods for making and using same are provided. In at least one specific embodiment, the binder composition can include at least one unsaturated compound having two or more unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds and at least one free radical precursor. At least one of the unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds can be a pi-bond that is not conjugated with an aromatic moiety and can be capable of free radical addition. The free radical precursor can be present in an amount of about 7 wt % to about 99 wt %, based on the weight of the one or more unsaturated compounds.

摘要: Diurethane (meth)acrylate-silane precursor compounds prepared by reacting a primary or secondary aminosilane with a cyclic carbonate to yield a hydroxylalkylene-carbamoylalkylene-alkoxysilanes (referred to as a “hydroxylcarbamoylsilane”), which is reacted with a (meth)acrylated material having isocyanate functionality, either neat or in solvent, and optionally with a catalyst, such as a tin compound. Also described are articles including a substrate, a base (co)polymer layer on a major surface of the substrate, an oxide layer on the base (co)polymer layer; and a protective (co)polymer layer on the oxide layer, the protective (co)polymer layer including the reaction product of at least one diurethane (meth)acrylate-silane precursor compound. The substrate may be a (co)polymer film or an electronic device such as an organic light emitting device, electrophoretic light emitting device, liquid crystal display, thin film transistor, or combination thereof. Methods of making the diurethane (meth)acrylate-silane and their use in composite films and electronic devices are described.

摘要: A transparent laminate including a transparent substrate and structure layer, wherein the structure layer contains protrusion portions, depression portions, or both on a surface thereof, and an average distance between the adjacent protrusion portions or between the adjacent depression portions is equal to or less than a visible light wavelength, the structure layer includes a polymerized product of an active energy ray curable resin composition, the resin composition includes a composition of a (meth)acryloyl group-containing polymerizable compound, the compound composition includes one or more from each of (A), (B), and (C): (A) a monofunctional (meth)acryloyl group-containing polymerizable compound; (B) alkylene glycol di(meth)acrylate; and (C) trifunctional or higher (meth)acrylate, the (A) satisfies certain conditions specifying a type and amount of a compound, and a ratio (E′150/E′50) of storage elastic modulus E′150 of the structure layer at 150° C. to storage elastic modulus E′50 thereof at 50° C. is 0.5 or less.
