Abstract: Methods and systems for determining a dissolution profile of a sample material, and for solubilization screening of a library defined by an array comprising multiple sample materials are disclosed. The methods and systems are particularly advantageous for sampling and evaluation of very small samples, and can be advantageously applied in connection with evaluation of drug candidates.

Abstract: A cover assembly for an occupant restraint system is formed of relatively irrupturable material and includes longitudinal and lateral portions which overlie like portions of a container housing an inflatable occupant restraint cushion. The juxtaposed edges of these portions are arranged which are juxtaposed to each other across a tear line of the container. One edge of each pair terminates in a U shaped return bent flange and the other edge of each pair terminates in an S shaped return bent flange having a flap which extends across the tear line and abuts the U shaped flange.

Abstract: A hydraulic mount assembly is disclosed having a partition including a hydraulic damping decoupler between two hydraulic chambers. One chamber is formed by an elastomeric member and the other by a resilient diaphragm. During dynamic loading of the mount, fluid passes between the two chambers of the mount causing expansion and contraction of the diaphragm. A pneumatic bladder is positioned to exert external pressure against the diaphragm in order to change the damping characteristics of the mount. As the bladder is expanded, the diaphragm is stiffened and the fluid flow between the two chambers in the hydraulic mount is restricted. When the bladder is deflated, the pressure against the diaphragm is reduced or effectively removed thereby restoring full freedom of movement of the fluid in the hydraulic mount. By actively controlling the diaphragm expansion in this manner, the dynamic characteristics of the mount are varied. A control circuit with on-board transducers is provided to monitor vehicle operating and road response conditions and modulate the pressure to the bladder for maximum damping effect. The on-board transducers sense selected parameters to indicate unusual conditions for which modulation is required, such as rough engine operation, engine lugging, rough road conditions, sudden turning and/or rapid acceleration/deceleration.

Abstract: A dissolution and precipitation system includes an array of reactors. Each reactor has a mother well and a daughter well having a volume between about one microliter and one milliliter. A fluid transfer system is operable to transfer fluid between the mother well and daughter well and purify the fluid that is transferred to the daughter well from the mother well. A method of testing a plurality of samples includes dissolving a plurality of first solids in each of the mother wells to form a plurality of first solutions in the mother wells. The first solutions are purified in the reactors. The first solutions are distributed from the mother wells to one or more daughter wells. A plurality of second solids are precipitated in the daughter wells and the second solids are analyzed.

Abstract: A robotic system with a common software and hardware platform for integration of a variety of modular components is provided that can be set up for a given application and reconfigured to address changing needs. Modules attach to the robotic platform with standard interfaces in order to maximize the platform's flexibility. Robotic arms also have interchangeability such as variable pitched Z-racks, powder handling or other technologies. The standard interfaces allow third party developers to develop and integrate their own custom modules. One module included with the robotic platform in accord with this invention is a module that both weighs and images a sample.
