Abstract:
Technology is discussed for mitigating interference in a wireless communication environment where adjacent cells can have asynchronous Time Division Duplexing configurations. Measurements can be taken at an illuminated evolved Node B (eNodeB) of DownLink (DL) transmissions from a transmit eNodeB. These measurements can be relayed to the transmit eNodeB over a backhaul link and used to make scheduling, transmission power, and/or beam forming decisions to reduce the potential for DL interference. To reduce UpLink (UL) interference, sub-frame specific measurements can be requested by a transmit eNodeB of a User Equipment (UE) that would receive DL transmission from the transmit eNodeB to detect interference from any UEs performing UL transmission to an adjacent eNodeB. The interference measurements can be used by the transmit eNodeB to make scheduling determinations to mitigate the interference.
Abstract:
Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for Cross-Carrier Quasi Co-Location Signaling in an NCT Wireless Network. A UE device may include a receiver circuit to receive a QCL signaling message from a primary cell, the QCL signaling message for a configured secondary cell to identify a primary or one or more secondary cells that are Quasi Co-located with the secondary cell for which the message is provided. The UE device may also include a QCL signal decoding module to decode the QCL signaling message and to determine QCL synchronization parameters. The UE device may further include a synchronization module to synchronize the UE with the primary or one or more secondary cells based on the QCL synchronization parameters obtained from the QCL message received from the primary cell.
Abstract:
A method for rescheduling a resource component of low power nodes (LPNs) in a local coordination set is disclosed. The method can include a local macro node receiving from a neighboring macro node a resource map of blanked resource components and scheduled resource components for physical resources of the neighboring macro node. The local macro node can be grouped with at least one low power node (LPN) within a local coordination set. The neighboring macro node can be grouped with at least one LPN within a neighboring coordination set. The neighboring macro node can be within a neighboring coordination set different from the local coordination set. The local macro node can reschedule using the resource map, a cell-edge resource component for LPNs in the local coordination set in a same frequency-domain index and a same time-domain index as a blanked resource component of the neighboring macro node.
Abstract:
An evolved Node B (eNB) and method for coherent coordinated multipoint transmission with per CSI-RS feedback are generally described herein. The eNB may configure a first cooperating point and a second cooperating point to jointly transmit a multi-node channel-state information (CSI) reference signal (RS) (CSI-RS) in predetermined resource elements of a resource block. The eNB may receive CSI reports as feedback from user equipment (UE). The CSI reports may include a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) indicating relative phase information between the cooperating points based on the multi-node CSI-RS. The CSI reports for the multi-node CSI-RS may be restricted to a PMI of rank-1. The eNB may configure the cooperating points for a coherent joint transmission to the UE based at least on the relative phase information. The coherent joint transmission may also be jointly beamformed based on single-node PMIs.
Abstract:
Technology for reporting periodic channel state information (CSI) is disclosed. One method can include determining a reporting period (Npd) of a user equipment (UE) for a serving cell. A Time-Division Duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration of a primary cell of the UE can be identified. A periodic CSI report for the serving cell can be transmitted, from the UE to the eNB, using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) on the primary cell according to the reporting period. The reporting period of Npd=1 can be used for the serving cell if the TDD UL-DL configuration of the primary cell is one of 0, 1, 3, 4, or 6 and all UL subframes of the primary cell in a radio frame are used for periodic CSI reporting.
Abstract:
Technology for periodic channel state information (CSI) reporting is disclosed. One method can include a user equipment (UE) identifying a configured CSI reporting instance for a secondary cell to report the periodic CSI to a node based on a CSI reporting configuration of the secondary cell. The UE can determine that the configured CSI reporting instance of the secondary cell used to report the periodic CSI does not correspond with an uplink (UL) subframe of a primary cell. The UE can transmit the periodic CSI report for the secondary cell, to the node, using a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) on the secondary cell when the periodic CSI reporting instance for the secondary cell does not correspond with the UL subframe of the primary cell and an UL-SCH (Uplink Shared Channel) is available in a subframe that corresponds to the periodic CSI reporting instance of the secondary cell.

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe devices, methods, computer-readable media and systems configurations for configuring coordinated multipoint (CoMP) for network devices. In various embodiments, configuration of the CoMP may be based on channel state information reference signals. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and system of uplink timing adjustment for frequency range 2 (FR2) communication with remote radio heads (RRHs) in a unidirectional high speed train (HST) deployment are described. A one-shot uplink timing adjustment is applied when a first value is greater than a second value. The first value is a difference between an end of a first transmission from a neighboring RRH and an end of reception of the first transmission at the UE less a difference between an end of a second transmission from a serving RRH and an end of reception of the second transmission at the UE. The second value is a predetermined gradual timing adjustment set by a 3GPP specification, the predetermined adjustment plus a timing error limit, the predetermined adjustment plus twice a downlink error, or a multiple of the predetermined adjustment. The one-shot uplink timing adjustment is twice the first value.
Abstract:
An apparatus and system of establishing receive timing difference (RTD) for high subcarrier spacing (SCS) are described. The RTD is dependent on whether carrier aggregation (CA) or dual connectivity (DC) is used. For CA, RTD reflects the entire time difference between carriers caused by a Timing Alignment Error (TAE) and propagation delay difference between slots aligned at transmission. For DC, RTD is between the closest slot boundaries and reflects only slot boundary misalignment without considering the slot index.
Abstract:
Dynamic transmission of non-zero power channel state information resource signals and interference measurement resources is described. Such dynamic transmission reduces or eliminates a need to buffer and store channel and interference measurements The described approach also reduces the overhead due to transmission of those resources and enables flexible time-domain channel state information requests.
