摘要: The disclosure relates to bipolar plates used in fuel cells and to methods for forming bipolar plates. A bipolar plate of a fuel cell with a composite corrosion-resistant, gastight, conductive coating comprises a core of a required shape, a first layer having high contact conductivity on the core, and a second layer having corrosion resistance, high gas-tightness, electric conductivity on the first layer and in pores of the first layer, the second layer covering at least the pores in the first layer. The first layer is preferably formed by a magnetron sputtering method, and the second layer is preferably formed by a method of thermolysis of a metalorganic compound. This ensures high gas-tightness and elasticity of a bipolar plate without compromising its corrosion resistance and contact conductivity.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to a method for forming a light extraction layer comprising nanostructures, the method comprising: providing a substrate, the substrate being at least partially transparent to UV light; forming a non-aqueous precursor solution comprising fluorine and an alkaline earth metal to form alkaline earth metal difluoride particles; applying the precursor solution on at least a first side of the substrate; drying the substrate at a first temperature for a first period of time; and baking the substrate at a second temperature, higher than the first temperature, for a second period of time, thereby forming a light extraction nanostructure layer comprising alkaline earth metal difluoride nanostructures on the substrate. The present invention also relates to a light extraction structure and to a UV lamp comprising such an extraction structure.

摘要: In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a heating device is presented. The heating device includes a pyrocatalytic, non-stick coating disposed on at least one surface. The pyrocatalytic non-stick coating includes (i) a binder derived from a silane, a polysiloxane, a polysilazane, or combinations thereof; and (ii) a catalyst dispersed within the binder, wherein the catalyst comprises a pervoskite crystalline material, a pyrochlore crystalline material, a spinel crystalline material, an ilmenite crystalline material, or combinations hereof.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing coated carbon nanotubes, the method comprising the steps of: functionalizing the carbon nanotubes in a solvent comprising a silane polymer; coating the carbon nanotubes with a SiO2 layer; depositing metal catalyst particles on the SiO2 layer of the carbon nanotubes; and performing electroless plating to form an Ag coating on the SiO2 layer of the carbon nanotubes. The invention also relates Ag-coated CNTs, and to the use of Ag-coated CNTs as interconnects in a flexible electronic film.

摘要: An insulating mat for an exhaust gas treatment device thermally stable to at least 900° C., wherein the insulating mat contains inorganic fibers uniformly coated with a metal oxide including at least one of aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, or mixtures thereof; wherein said fibers are uniformly coated with the metal oxide by precipitating metal hydroxide corresponding to the metal oxide on the fibers, followed by converting the precipitated metal hydroxide to the metal oxide. A method of increasing the thermal stability of inorganic fibers for use in an exhaust gas treatment device insulating mat including the inorganic fibers, including uniformly coating the fibers with a metal oxide of at least one of aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide or mixtures thereof by a chemical precipitation process.

摘要: A solution deposition method including: applying a liquid precursor solution to a substrate, the precursor solution including an oxide of a first metal, a hydroxide of the first metal, or a combination thereof, dissolved in an aqueous ammonia solution; evaporating the precursor solution to directly form a solid seed layer on the substrate, the seed layer including an oxide of the first metal, a hydroxide of the first metal, or a combination thereof, the seed layer being substantially free of organic compounds; and growing a bulk layer on the substrate, using the seed layer as a growth site or a nucleation site.
