New triaminophenol compositions and related compounds are disclosed, as are processes for their preparation and for the preparation of novel salts and diacid complexes from such compounds. Polymers prepared from these compositions can be made into high strength fiber, film, and tape and are useful in applications such as protective apparel, aircraft, automotive components, personal electronics, and sports equipment.

The invention relates to fluoroalkylphenylamidines of general formula (I), a method for production thereof and use of said amidines for preventing undesired microorganisms and an agent for said purpose, comprising said phenoxyamidines. The invention further relates to a method for preventing undesired microorganisms by application of said compounds to the microorganisms and/or to their habitat.

A novel process for the selective reduction of halonitroarenes in general and halonitroaromatic arenes in particular, without the hydrogenolysis of the C-Cl (where, X represents F-, Cl-, Br- and I) and the C-O-C bonds, in the presence of platinum based catalysts and ammonium formate. The invention makes the use of duel function of ammonium formate, as a hydrogen source for partial reduction (catalytic transfer hydrogenation) and as an additive controlling the hydrogenolysis side reactions during the completion of the reduction by high pressure catalytic hydrogenation using external hydrogen gas source. Uniqueness of the invention lies in the fact that either the catalytic transfer hydrogenation with ammonium formal e or high pressure catalytic hydrogenation in the absence of ammonium formate, when used alone result in lower purity of the said amine. This invention -product is used to synthesize intermediates for making antibacterial compounds.

These compounds inhibit monoamine re-uptake and in particular exhibit activity as selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors. Disclosed are novel multi-binding compounds (agents) which bind to NMDA receptors. The compounds of this invention comprise a plurality of ligands each of which can bind to such receptors, thereby modulating the biological processes and/or functions thereof. Each of the ligands is covalently attached to a linker or linkers which may be the same or different to provide for the multibinding compound. The linker is selected such that the multibinding compound so constructed demonstrates increased modulation of the biological processes mediated by the NMDA receptor.
