摘要: An example apparatus includes a deployment monitor to initiate a modification of a number of virtual machines deployed in the computing environment. The virtual machines including a first virtual machine to execute a first component of an application deployed in the computing environment. A dependents identifier is to identify an information dependency of a second virtual machine on information from the first virtual machine. The second virtual machine is to execute a second component of the application. An updater is to update the information dependency based on a scaling status of the first virtual machine. The information dependency in the configuration information including a reference to the first virtual machine.

摘要: Technologies for dynamically managing resources in disaggregated accelerators include an accelerator. The accelerator includes acceleration circuitry with multiple logic portions, each capable of executing a different workload. Additionally, the accelerator includes communication circuitry to receive a workload to be executed by a logic portion of the accelerator and a dynamic resource allocation logic unit to identify a resource utilization threshold associated with one or more shared resources of the accelerator to be used by a logic portion in the execution of the workload, limit, as a function of the resource utilization threshold, the utilization of the one or more shared resources by the logic portion as the logic portion executes the workload, and subsequently adjust the resource utilization threshold as the workload is executed. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要: Example methods are provided for a host to perform queue filter configuration for multicast packet handling in a software-defined networking (SDN) environment. One example method may comprise the host generating and sending a request to join an outer multicast group address to one or more multicast-enabled network devices; and configuring a queue filter based on the outer multicast group address. In response to detecting an ingress encapsulated multicast packet that includes an outer header addressed to the outer multicast group address, the host may assign the ingress encapsulated multicast packet to a particular NIC queue from the multiple NIC queues based on the queue filter; and retrieving, from the particular NIC queue, the ingress encapsulated multicast packet to generate and send a decapsulated multicast packet to a virtualized computing instance.

摘要: An example operation may include a system, comprising one or more of receiving a virtual network function component instance (VNFCI) status notification resumption message with an active state when a peer VNFCI operational state is active, retrieving a timestamp of a VNFCI state change to an active state from an element VNFCI state database, retrieving a timestamp of a peer VNFCI state change to active from an element VNFCI state database, sending one or more of: a request to a virtual network function manager (VNFM) to determine if the VNFCI network is isolating while an operating state was active, and a request to the VNFM to determine if the peer VNFCI network is isolating while an operating state was active, sending a state change request with standby state to the peer VNFCI when the VNFCI is not network isolated and the peer VNFCI is network isolated, and a VNFM response is received regarding the VNFCI, a timeout response from the VNFM, and a VNFM response is received regarding the peer VNFCI, and sending a state change request with standby to the VNFCI with one or more of: the VNFCI network isolate and peer VNFCI is not network isolated, and the VNFCI is network isolated or the peer VNFCI is not network isolated, and the VNFCI is not network isolated and the peer VNFCI is network isolated and the VNFCI is in preferred standby.

The system can include at least one server that can access model information for the computing network, and set up the computing network based upon the model information. Setting up the computing network can include creating a topology database, and building the computing network based on the topology database. The topolopgy data can be created by creating switches at each layer in the computing network, mapping links connecting the switches, each link connecting a pair of switches, creating Border Gateway Protocol (“BGP”) routing for both an underlay network and an overlay network, creating a topology graph of the computing network, and generating Zero Touch Provisioning (“ZTP”) links.

The network assurance appliance may attribute the hit count for the concrete level rule to each of the components of the logical model, determine a number of hardware level entries associated with the each of the one or more components, and generate a report comprising the one or more components of the logical model, the hit count attributed to each of the one or more components of the logical model, and the number of hardware level entries associated with the one or more components of the logical model.

During operation, the electronic device may receive a request to create the electronic-device-specific application, where the electronic-device-specific application is associated with a services manager in a system hierarchy. In response to the request, the electronic device may provide instructions for a user interface, wherein the user interface is configured to present predefined configuration alternatives for configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application and/or to receive inputs for the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application. Then, the electronic device may receive user-interface activity information, which specifies selections of the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application, where the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application specify functions in a physical layer, a data link layer and a network layer in the electronic-device-specific application. Next, the electronic device may generate, based at least in part on the configuration parameters, the electronic-device-specific application.
