    摘要: Example methods are provided for a host to perform queue filter configuration for multicast packet handling in a software-defined networking (SDN) environment. One example method may comprise the host generating and sending a request to join an outer multicast group address to one or more multicast-enabled network devices; and configuring a queue filter based on the outer multicast group address. In response to detecting an ingress encapsulated multicast packet that includes an outer header addressed to the outer multicast group address, the host may assign the ingress encapsulated multicast packet to a particular NIC queue from the multiple NIC queues based on the queue filter; and retrieving, from the particular NIC queue, the ingress encapsulated multicast packet to generate and send a decapsulated multicast packet to a virtualized computing instance.

The system can include at least one server that can access model information for the computing network, and set up the computing network based upon the model information. Setting up the computing network can include creating a topology database, and building the computing network based on the topology database. The topolopgy data can be created by creating switches at each layer in the computing network, mapping links connecting the switches, each link connecting a pair of switches, creating Border Gateway Protocol (“BGP”) routing for both an underlay network and an overlay network, creating a topology graph of the computing network, and generating Zero Touch Provisioning (“ZTP”) links.

    摘要: An electronic device that generates an electronic-device-specific application is described. During operation, the electronic device may receive a request to create the electronic-device-specific application, where the electronic-device-specific application is associated with a services manager in a system hierarchy. In response to the request, the electronic device may provide instructions for a user interface, wherein the user interface is configured to present predefined configuration alternatives for configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application and/or to receive inputs for the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application. Then, the electronic device may receive user-interface activity information, which specifies selections of the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application, where the configuration parameters for the electronic-device-specific application specify functions in a physical layer, a data link layer and a network layer in the electronic-device-specific application. Next, the electronic device may generate, based at least in part on the configuration parameters, the electronic-device-specific application.
