Abstract:
A system for administering a therapeutic treatment to a portion of a patient body. In one embodiment the system includes a pressure sensor, a treatment head, and at least one computer processor in operable electrical communication with both the pressure sensor and treatment head. When a treatment tip of the treatment head is applied against the portion of the patient body, the at least one computer processor receives time dependent pressure readings from the pressure sensor corresponding to pressure applied by the treatment tip against the portion of the patient body. The at least one computer processor calculates a test frequency via an algorithm stored in the system. The system compares the test frequency to treatment plan frequencies and selects treatment plan based on the comparison.
Abstract:
Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a whole body vibrator platform which is attachable to a treadmill. The treadmill belt provides the power to move the platform, translating the horizontal, linear, belt movement into vertical oscillations through one or more eccentrically mounted rollers which support the platform. A person standing on the vibrator platform experiences a vertical vibration at frequencies established by the linear velocity of the treadmill belt.
Abstract:
A guide system is provided that uses a plurality of sensors to identify and determine a clear path for an ambulatory vision impaired person. The system includes one or more wheels that rotate to propel the system, a platform supported by the one or more wheels and housing a processor, a rigid harness with a haptic feedback grip that is positioned to be grasped by an operator, and one or more sensors configured to sense information about the environment. In operation, the processor analyzes information sensed by the sensors to identify object in the path of the guide system and sends messages to the operator to allow the operator to avoid the identified objects. The messages may be sent to the operator via the haptic feedback grip or audibly via a speaker or via a wireless connection to a haptic or audio device being worn by the operator.

Abstract:
A system for stimulation of a user, including: a stimulation assembly including a sensory output device, a housing surrounding the stimulation assembly and defining a first coupling structure, and a retainer defining a second coupling structure; operable in a coupled mode wherein: second coupling structure encircles the first coupling structure, a region of a material is retained between the first and second coupling structures, and the material couples the housing to the user.
Abstract:
A frequency detector includes an oscillation related information output portion to which moving body position related information and a correction parameter are input, and which outputs a frequency adjustment parameter and estimated moving body position related information; a frequency estimating portion to which the frequency adjustment parameter is input, and which outputs an estimated frequency; and an adjusting portion to which the moving body position related information, the estimated moving body position related information, and the estimated frequency are input, and which outputs the correction parameter.
Abstract:
An end range of motion improving device is disclosed including, first and second link members to independently rotate an upper leg and a lower leg of a patient, having a controller to selectively rotate the link members, and a networked computing system to facilitate communication between the controller and other networked devices.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for improving patient adherence with respect to HFCC therapy. A therapy system of the present disclosure may include a percussive pulsing therapy device configured for delivering pulsating or intermittent airflow to a patient device, such as a patient vest worn by a patient. The airflow delivered to the patient vest may have an air pressure and a frequency, each of which may be adjustable in some embodiments. A therapy system of the present disclosure may additionally include a controller, a database, and one or more sensors. The controller and/or one or more sensors may record therapy data for a therapy session. Based on the recorded therapy data, the system may provide encouragement, advice, motivation, and/or options or information to a user by way of skills training, goal setting, feedback, reinforcement, environmental prompts, social support, and/or other patient interventions.
