摘要: The laser-transmissive welding label of the present invention is a resin label which comprises at least a resin layer and is affixable to a resin shaped article by a laser welding, wherein the resin layer has a light-scattering property, and the transmittance of the resin layer relative to a laser beam having an oscillation wavelength within the range of 740 to 1100 nm is not less than 20%, and the total light transmittance of the resin layer relative to a visible light (in accordance with ASTM D1003) is not more than 50%. The resin layer may comprise a thermoplastic resin which may have a compatibility with a resin for the resin shaped article. The label may be able to mask the resin shaped article, or may be colored with a coloring agent. A shaped composite article (e.g., a toner cartridge) may be formed by bonding the label to the resin shaped article with use of the laser welding. The present invention provides the resin label which is affixable to the resin shaped article in an easy and simple way, without an adhesive.

摘要: An ultrasonic welding method which requires no external pressure during the welding step is disclosed. A plurality of multi-layer strips can be welded such that the weld area is not thinner than the rest of the strip and has good UV protection. The method comprises: stacking a plurality of strips; providing external pressure; removing the external pressure, positioning the ultrasonic welding apparatus so that it places no external pressure on the stack; welding at least two strips; and removing the welding apparatus.

摘要: A cellular cushion includes a base, a plurality of hollow cells, and a sealing layer. The base includes at least a first layer and a second layer. The plurality of hollow cells are coupled to the base and extend outwardly from the base. Moreover, the plurality of cells are coupled together in flow communication. The sealing layer is coupled to at least one of the base first and second layers. At least one of the sealing layer and the base defines a plurality of lock pockets, wherein each of the lock pockets is positioned between adjacent hollow cells for selectively controlling flow communication independently to each of the plurality of hollow cells within the cellular cushion.

摘要: Two shaped articles A and B which are not directly weldable to one another can be welded to one another with the aid of a film C if the material of the first surface of this film is compatible with the material of the shaped article A and the material of the second surface of this film is compatible with the material of the shaped article B and if either the film C or a surface region in contact therewith absorbs electromagnetic radiation. The welding is carried out by brining the first surface of the film C into contact with the shaped article A and the second surface of the film C into contact with the shaped article B and inputting electromagnetic radiation.

摘要: An elastic composite that contains an elastic film laminated to one or more nonwoven materials is provided. By selectively controlling the constituents of the composite and the method by which it is formed, the present inventors have discovered that the composite may be resistant to oils and other skin care compositions. More specifically, the elastic film is formed from one or more low density semi-crystalline propylene-based polymers that possess a unique combination of mechanical, elastic, and oil-resistant properties. By using such elastomeric polymers, the resulting elastic film may also be thermally bonded to the nonwoven web material(s) without the need for oil-resistant adhesives. Further, the bonding conditions may be selected so that apertures do not form in the film. In this manner, the resulting composite is impervious to oils or other liquids (e.g., solvents, water, solutions, etc.) and thus acts as a barrier during use.

摘要: A tube-in-tube assembled parison for preparation of an elongated medical device. The parison if formed by assembling in tube-in-tube fashion a first tube of orientable polymer material and a second tube formed of orientable polymer material disposed around the first tube, with an adhesive tie layer disposed between the first and second tubes. The tubes are brought into contact to form a unitary parison. The adhesive may allow movement between the polymer layers during balloon blowing. The first tube, or the second tube, or both, may have been longitudinally pre-stretched after formation thereof but before assembly of the parison.

摘要: A production method of a hose having a laminate structure consisting of three layers of an inner rubber layer, a resin layer, an outer rubber layer coaxially laminated in this order, wherein after the resin layer is extruded on an outer peripheral surface of the inner rubber layer, an outer peripheral surface of the resin layer is subjected to a direct type atmospheric pressure plasma treatment in advance of extrusion of the outer rubber layer.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for forming a bonded web comprised at least in part of a polyester, a first material web and a second material web are arranged in opposed relationship with each other at least along those portions of the first and second material webs to be bonded together. At least one of the first and second material webs is comprised at least in part of the polyester. The opposed webs are transported in a machine direction to the nip of a bonding apparatus comprised of a first bonding member and a second bonding member defining the nip therebetween for passage of the opposed first and second material webs therebetween in the machine direction. A shear force is applied to the webs generally in the machine direction at the nip and the webs are mechanically bonded together at the nip while the shear force is applied to webs.
