摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring a micro area in a specimen in which a reagent necessary for observation and examination of a cell smear specimen or a tissue specimen is dropped to cause a reaction for a measurement and an analysis by way of an image. The apparatus includes: a micro reaction unit that is able to select a specific micro area in the specimen and to subject the specific micro area to a reaction-operation; a unit that measures; records and displays an image of the micro area; and a control unit that controls the measuring, recording, and displaying unit. Reactions can be effected quickly on such specimens as smear cell specimens and tissue slice specimens. The application of the reagent solution can be saved. A comparison between local presence of a gene or anti-body and a cell image can be made quickly and easily.

摘要: The present invention relates to a composition for promoting bacterial proliferation for selectively proliferating Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei, which includes a dextran. According to the present invention, a variety of biological activities originated from L. casei subsp. casei can be sustained in a living body by selectively growing-proliferating and colonizing L. casei subsp. casei in the intestine of a human being, animal, or the like or by selectively growing-proliferating L. casei subsp. casei in the intestine, without supplying L. casei subsp. casei at all times.

摘要: The present invention makes it possible to reliably hold a computer-generated hologram 17 and a sample surface 18a in ideal design positions and to perform interference measurements on the surface shape of the sample surface 18a by holding the computer-generated hologram 17 in a predetermined attitude by using a retaining member, and interposing a spacer 45 between this retaining member and the object so that relative positioning of both the computer-generated hologram 17 and the sample surface 18a is performed. Light transmission type targets used for alignment are respectively disposed on the four corners of the frame body of the CGH 17 and the four corners of the measurement mirror 18, and the system is devised so that images of these targets can be obtained by an image focusing lens 43 and CCD camera 44, thus making it possible to check the adjustment of the alignment of the CGH 17 and sample surface 18a.

摘要: A cell separation module for separating and collecting cells having a charge and cells having no charge comprises a holder and a throwaway cell separation chamber held by the holder. Ultrasound is introduced into the cell separation chamber so as to allow force for causing cells to be put together to act into the cell separation chamber. In addition, an electrostatic force is allowed to act in the cell separation chamber so as to cause the cell to move by the charges of the cells. Competition between both the forces is used to separate the cells correspondingly to the freshness of the cells.

摘要: A chamber for exerting an ultrasound beam on a sample solution containing particles to be concentrated, separated or arranged is provided with a view toward arbitrarily controlling the shape of a spatial distribution of potential energy created by the ultrasound beam and concentrating, separating or periodically arranging the particles. In contrast to the chamber, irradiation ultrasound sources for generating ultrasound beams are provided to create an ultrasonic intensity distribution for producing a position potential energy distribution used to exert a force forwarded in a predetermined direction or a force staying at a predetermined region to each particle. Thus, a specific spatial distribution of potential energy can be realized by ultrasound beams each having a specific intensity, a specific frequency and a specific phase or an ultrasound beam formed by superimposing these on one another. Further, at least one suction hole for recovering separated solvents or particles is defined in a wall surface of the tube, which is orthogonal to the flow of the sample solution.
