Abstract: The present disclosure describes a vehicle implementing one or more processing modules. These modules are configured to connect and interface with the various buses in the vehicle, where the various buses are connected with the various components of the vehicle to facilitate information transfer among the vehicle components. Each processing module is further modularized with the ability to add and replace other functional modules now or in the future. These functional modules can themselves act as distinct vehicle components. Each processing modules may hand-off processing to other modules depending on its health, processing load, or by third-party control. Thus, the plurality of processing modules helps to implement a middleware point of control to the vehicle with redundancy in processing and safety and security awareness in their applications.

Abstract: The automated driving system includes a vehicle speed detection device for detecting a speed of a vehicle, a display device capable of displaying a running lane and an adjacent lane of the vehicle, and a processor configured to control display content of the display device, and execute an autonomous lane change of the vehicle. The processor is configured to prohibit the autonomous lane change of the vehicle when a speed of the vehicle is less than a predetermined value. The processor is configured to hide the adjacent lane when the autonomous lane change is prohibited and start displaying the adjacent lane before the speed of the vehicle reaches the predetermined value if it is planned for the vehicle to accelerate from a speed below the predetermined value to a speed equal to or greater than the predetermined value in order to carry out the autonomous lane change.

Abstract: An image display system includes a body, a first correction unit, and a second correction unit. The body houses a display unit to display an image and projects a virtual image, corresponding to the image, onto a target space using outgoing light of the display unit. The first correction unit corrects for distortion of the image. The second correction unit corrects a display location of the image on the display unit in accordance with an orientation signal representing a change in orientation of the body. Each of divisional areas of a display screen of the display unit is assigned with a distortion correction parameter for correcting for the distortion of the virtual image. The first correction unit applies distortion correction to each of the image regions of the image on the display screen based on a distortion correction parameter assigned to a divisional area where the image region is displayed.
