摘要: A catalyst support for induction heating includes: a honeycomb structure including a pillar shaped honeycomb structure portion having: an outer peripheral wall; and a partition wall disposed on an inner side of the outer peripheral wall, the partition wall defining a plurality of cells, each of the cells extending from an end face on an inlet side to an end face on an outlet side in a gas flow direction to form a flow path; a catalyst supported onto an interior of the partition wall; and at least one magnetic body provided within the honeycomb structure, wherein the catalyst support has a region A where the catalyst is not supported, at least on the end face side of the catalyst support on the inlet side in the gas flow direction, and wherein the magnetic body is arranged at least in the region A in the gas flow direction.

摘要: An exhaust system component comprises a housing including an inner surface having a first longitudinal axis, a core positioned within the housing and including an outer surface circumferentially extending about a second longitudinal axis offset from the first axis, and a mat positioned within the housing and compressed between the core and the housing. The mat is wrapped about an outer surface of the core more than one revolution such that a first circumferentially extending zone exists where the mat is x layers thick and a second circumferentially extending zone exists where the mat is x+1 layers thick. The second longitudinal axis is offset from the first longitudinal axis in a direction toward the first circumferentially extending zone.

摘要: An exhaust gas purification filter is configured to he disposed in an exhaust passage in a gasoline engine. The exhaust gas purification filter includes partition walls including a plurality of pores, a plurality of cells partitioned by the partition walls, and sealing portions alternately sealing ends of a plurality of the cells in the exhaust gas purification filter. The partition walls each have an average pore diameter of more than 16 μm and less than 21 μm, and have a ratio of an average surface opening diameter of the pores in a partition wall surface to the average pore diameter of the partition wall of 0.66 or more and 0.94 or less.

The first zone may include a bottom layer with a blend of: (1) the platinum group metal on a support and (2) the first SCR catalyst; and a top layer with a second SCR catalyst, the top layer located over the bottom layer.

摘要: Methods are provided for emissions control of a vehicle. In one example, a catalyst may include a cerium-based support material and a transition metal catalyst loaded on the support material, the transition metal catalyst including nickel and copper, wherein nickel in the transition metal catalyst is included in a monatomic layer loaded on the support material. In some examples, limiting nickel to the monatomic layer may mitigate extensive transition metal catalyst degradation ascribed to sintering of thicker nickel washcoat layers. Further, by utilizing the cerium-based support material, side reactions involving nickel in the transition metal catalyst with other support materials may be prevented.
