Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are applicable to the field of the Internet of Vehicles, and provides a method for controlling DSRC resource allocation, a base station, and a vehicle communications terminal. The vehicle communications terminal includes a dedicated short range communications (DSRC) processor and a cellular mobile communications processor. The DSRC processor and the cellular mobile communications processor are connected to each other by an interface. The DSRC processor is configured to be in a wireless connection to a DSRC processor in another vehicle communications terminal to implement wireless communication between vehicles. The cellular mobile communications processor is configured to send and receive messages for the DSRC processor. According to the present invention, a base station can control a DSRC resource, and flexibly adjust a resource configuration parameter, thereby implementing DSRC congestion control, and adjusting a configuration according to a scenario.

Abstract: A navigation system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The navigation system includes a dedicated short range communication (DSRC) module onboard the UAV configured to communicate with DSRC modules of land-based vehicles for tracking travel paths of the land-based vehicles and deriving location of roadways based on the travel paths. A flight control module of the UAV is configured to navigate the UAV to follow roadways identified based on the tracked travel paths of the land-based vehicles.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for correcting position information of a surrounding vehicle, which provide accurate position information of a surrounding vehicle by correcting the position information of the surrounding vehicle received through vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and identifies a license-plate number of a front vehicle through a sensor mounted in a vehicle, calculates a position of the front vehicle, and compare position information, which is included in information including the identified number of the front vehicle in information received from the surrounding vehicle, with the calculated position of the front vehicle to correct the position information of the surrounding vehicle.

The method may include receiving a wireless message that includes sensor data that describes a traffic event affecting a route of travel for a vehicle. The wireless message may include a Dedicated Short Range Communication message. The wireless message may include a full-duplex wireless message received during a full-duplex operation mode of a full-duplex coordination system included in the vehicle. The vehicle and the traffic event may be present on a roadway included in the route of travel for the vehicle. The traffic event may be located in a direction where the vehicle is traveling. The method may include analyzing the sensor data included in the wireless message to determine a micro-navigation suggestion for a driver of the vehicle. The method may include providing the micro-navigation suggestion to the driver.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for evaluating an advised driving speed of a vehicle traversing a particular portion of a road network is disclosed. The method comprises accessing first predetermined data indicative of the variation in average fuel consumption for the vehicle with speed of the vehicle, using the first predetermined data to determine data indicative of average fuel consumption for the vehicle for a plurality of speeds within a range based on a speed limit for the portion of the road network being traversed, and evaluating the advised driving speed of the vehicle based at least in part on the determined data indicative of average fuel consumption for the vehicle for the range of speeds. The evaluation of the advised driving speed may further be based on second predetermined data indicative of the variation in a likelihood of the vehicle being in the highest gear with speed of the vehicle.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing an indication to a driver of a geared vehicle that the vehicle is not in an optimal gear is disclosed. The method comprises determining a current gear of the vehicle and determining a current speed of a drive unit of the vehicle. An indication is then provided to the driver of the vehicle that the vehicle is not in an optimal gear when: (i) the determined current speed of the drive unit is greater than a predetermined threshold; and (ii) the determined current gear of the vehicle is less than a maximum gear of the vehicle. A method and apparatus is also disclosed for determining a score indicative of the amount of time during a journey on a road network that a geared vehicle is driven in an optimal gear.

The invention also relates to a device for the traffic infrastructure and to a road user device having means for carrying out the method.
