摘要: A compressible liquid retaining berm having a plurality of wall members, the wall members composed of a compressible, resilient material such that the wall members will rebound to a neutral state after being compressed. A longitudinal slot is disposed in the top wall of the wall members and extends the length of the wall member, and a transverse slot is disposed in the top wall adjacent each end of the wall member, preferably perpendicular to the longitudinal slot. A liquid impermeable liner member is disposed on the interior side of the wall members, the liner member extending across the wall members. The liner member is secured to the wall members by positioning elongated anchor members atop the liner member in alignment with the longitudinal slots, such that the weight of the anchor members results in the anchor members being received within the longitudinal slots. At right angle junctions of abutting wall members, the anchor member extends beyond the end of the longitudinal slot of one wall member and across the transverse slot of the adjoining wall member.

摘要: The present invention relates to a membrane plate structure for generating sound waves. The membrane plate structure comprises a first skin layer, a second skin layer, a foam core layer which is interposed between the first skin layer and the second skin layer, and two binding layers. At least one of the first skin layer and the second skin layer is attachable to a vibrating element for generating sound waves. The elastic modulus of the core layer and its density are lower than the elastic modulus and the density of the first skin layer and the second skin layer, so that a sandwich structure is achieved. The Young modulus and the shear modulus of first skin layer, the second skin layer, the core layer and the binding layers are not variating between each other of more than 30% between a temperature 20° C. and 150° C., particularly between 20° C. and 170° C., more particularly 20° C. and 180° C.

The insulation assembly includes a stochastic foam material and a microtruss structure encased within the foam material. The microtruss structure includes a plurality of truss members interconnected at a plurality of nodes. Each truss member is in contact with the foam material such that the microtruss structure provides a structural core for the foam material.

摘要: A two layer and/or a three-layer device is disclosed that allows samples therein to remain at a warmer or a colder temperature than would be ordinarily possible without the use of the two or three-layer device. The two-layer device contains an interior layer that comprises the sample, and a middle or intermediate layer that comprises chemical species that undergoes an exothermic or endothermic reaction. The three layer device further has an outer layer that contains an insulating layer. When the three layer device is used for samples, the temperature of the sample can remain at a temperature around 11° C. or less for at least about 5.5 to 6 hours.

摘要: Provided is a PSA sheet with which good air release properties can be obtained while whose quality can be further enhanced. This invention provides a PSA sheet comprising a substrate film and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate film. The PSA sheet further comprises a coating layer partially covering the PSA layer surface. The PSA sheet's adhesive is formed of the PSA layer and the coating layer. The coating layer has a linearly extending part running from one edge to another edge of the adhesive face. The linearly extending part has a first face forming the PSA sheet's adhesive face and a second face located on the PSA layer side relative to the first face. The second face of the linearly extending part forms an overall gently curved line in a cross section perpendicularly intersecting the length direction of the linearly extending part.

An organ model being a laminated body in which plural layers each formed of a hydrogel material are laminated, and one or more of the layers is each a fiber group-containing layer in which fiber groups are approximately continuously present inside the layer and over the plane of the layer.

In some instances, articles that can be used in an as-produced state may provide a desired sound absorption coefficient or a desired flame spread index, e.g., less than or equal to 25 as tested by ASTM E84 dated 2009. Methods of producing the articles are also described.

摘要: An integral multilayer joint seal system. Layers of foam, layered co-planar to the adjacent surface, are interspersed with a barrier layer. The foam layers may be uncompressed or partially compressed at the time of joint formation and may be composed of open or closed, or hybrid, cell foam. The foam may be impregnated with a fire retardant or may be composed of a fire retardant material, if desired. The barrier may have a tensile strength greater than the adjacent foam and may be different in dimensions from the layers of foam. The joint may have an elastomer, such as silicone, at its top and/or bottom, and may even include an elastomer layer within or about the barrier.
