Abstract: In the case where a virtual vehicle speed selection means selects one of a first virtual vehicle speed and a second virtual vehicle speed so as to perform switching from the other one to said one of the first virtual vehicle speed and the second virtual vehicle speed, the rotation speed of an electric motor is decelerated to a threshold value with which travel of the vehicle stabilizes and the deceleration of the electric motor is stopped when the rotation speed of the electric motor becomes lower than the threshold value, and then traction of the vehicle is controlled based on the selected virtual vehicle speed.

Abstract: A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. A method of analyzing a fleet of vehicles, each of the vehicles including the device of the electrically motorized wheel includes receiving data from each device of the respective plurality of electrically motorized wheels within a fleet of vehicles and utilizing the data to facilitate tracking at least one vehicle within the fleet.

Abstract: A vehicle drive system includes a left-wheel drive unit having a first motor and a first transmission, a right-wheel drive unit having a second motor and a second transmission, and a motor control unit. Each of the first and second transmissions has a first to third rotational elements. The first motor is connected to the first rotational element of the first transmission. The second motor is connected to the first rotational element of the second transmission. The left wheel is connected to the second rotational element of the first transmission. The right wheel is connected to the second rotational element of the second transmission. The third rotational element of the first transmission and the third rotational element of the second transmission are coupled to each other. Each of the first and second transmissions has a fourth rotational element which is supported to revolve around by the second rotational element.

Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes an engine; a traction battery; and a controller or a vehicle control system having a controller. The controller is programmed to respond to a state of charge (SOC) of the traction battery. When the SOC is greater than a predicted SOC the controller is programmed to decrease a SOC threshold at which the engine is shut down to reduce the SOC. The SOC threshold is defined by a difference between a maximum SOC and an expected change in the SOC associated with predicted regenerative energy for a drive cycle.

According to the invention, the electric machine (9) has two rotors (11, 12), which can rotate independently of one another, each of which is or can be operatively connected to one wheel (6, 7) of the wheel axle (3), and a device for varying the electric rotor resistance of at least one of the rotors (11, 12).

The control unit further includes a caster wheel control section which generates the caster wheel control command for controlling the steering angle of the caster wheel during a bank traversing travel, based on the bank degree so as to resolve a difference between a target travel and the actual travel which occurs during the bank traversing travel.

Abstract: A drive control system for an electric motor includes a slippage determination device, a tentative vibration damper torque calculator, a vibration damper torque limit value setting device, a vibration damper torque setting device, and a control device. The vibration damper torque setting device is configured to set a control torque obtained by limiting a tentative vibration damper torque using a limit value set by the vibration damper torque limit value setting device. The control device is configured to control driving of the electric motor in accordance with a command value of a torque obtained by combining a requested torque for the electric motor with the control torque set by the vibration damper torque setting device.

Abstract: An ECU determines whether or not first operation for limiting an upper limit value of discharge power of a power storage device for supplying electric power to a rotating electric machine for generating a driving force of a vehicle has been received, by setting a first threshold value of an operation duration of an operation device required to determine the reception of the first operation to be greater than a second threshold value of operation duration of the operation device required to determine the reception of second operation for canceling the limitation of the upper limit value.
