摘要: A void-containing polyester is disclosed which is excellent in concealing properties, whiteness, and thermal dimensional stability. A void-containing polyester film includes an internal void-containing layer (layer A). The void-containing layer contains a polyester matrix resin and a polypropylene dispersed resin, and satisfies the following requirements (1) to (3), and an apparent density of the film is in a range of 0.8 to 1.2 g/cm3. (1) A melt viscosity (η1) of the polyester resin at a melting temperature of 280° C. and a shear rate of 121.6 sec−1 is 90 to 400 Pa·s (2) A melt viscosity (η2) of the polypropylene resin at a melting temperature of 280° C. and a shear rate of 121.6 sec−1 is 300 to 850 Pa·s (3) A melt viscosity ratio (η2/η1) of the polyester resin and the polypropylene resin at a melting temperature of 280° C. and a shear rate of 121.6 sec−1 is 1.5 to 4.5

摘要: Provided is a method capable of producing a retardation film having an elongated shape and having a slow axis in an oblique direction with high production efficiency while precisely controlling the direction of the slow axis and the variation of the direction. The method of producing a retardation film of the present invention includes: holding the left and right end portions of a film with left and right variable pitch-type clips configured to have clip pitches changing in a longitudinal direction, respectively; preheating the film; obliquely stretching the film; and releasing the clips holding the film. The oblique stretching includes making the change ratio of the clip pitch of the clips on one side in the traveling direction thereof and the change ratio of the clip pitch of the clips on the other side in the traveling direction thereof different from each other, and/or making the position at which the clip pitch of the clips on the one side in the traveling direction starts to change and the position at which the clip pitch of the clips on the other side in the traveling direction starts to change different from each other, while extending a distance between the left and right clips. In the present invention, the moving speeds of the clips are braked immediately before the holding step and/or during a time period from the holding step to the oblique stretching step.

The first optical system includes a partial reflector and a multilayer reflective polarizer disposed adjacent to and spaced apart from the partial reflector. The multilayer reflective polarizer is curved about orthogonal first and second axes and includes at least one layer that is substantially optically uniaxial at at least one location. Each chief ray that passes through the first optical system is first incident on the multilayer reflective polarizer at an angle of incidence less than 30 degrees.

摘要: An improved process for forming a PTFE mat is described. The process includes providing a dispersion with PTFE, a fiberizing polymer and a solvent wherein said dispersion has a viscosity of at least 50,000 cP. An apparatus is provided which comprises a charge source and a target a distance from the charge source. A voltage source is provided which creates a first charge at the charge source and an opposing charge at the target. The dispersion is electrostatically charged by contact with the charge source. The electrostatically charged dispersion is collected on the target to form a mat precursor which is heated to remove the solvent and the fiberizing polymer thereby forming the PTFE mat.

摘要: The invention relates to a stretched polymer film made of a polyamide composition comprising a semi-crystalline semi-aromatic polyamide (PPA), wherein the PPA consists of repeat units derived from aromatic dicarboxylic acid comprising at least 80 mole % of terephthalic acid, relative to the total amount of aromatic dicarboxylic acid; and diamine comprising at least 5 mole % 1,4-butanediamine and at least 5 mole % 1,6-hexanediamine, relative to the total amount of diamine, the combined amount of 1,4-butanediamine and 1,6-hexanediamine being at least 60 mole % relative to the total amount of diamine; and 0-2 mole % of other monomeric units, relative to the total amount of aromatic dicarboxylic acid, diamine and other monomeric units. The invention further relates to a process for preparing the polyamide film by melt extrusion and stretching of the film.
