    摘要: Extrusion-to-sheet production line and method comprise first and second rolls set to a predetermined gap through which a continuously-extruded sheet of molten plastic material passes to calender the sheet to a predetermined thickness. The sheet passes through a nip formed between the second roll and a continuous belt looped around a third roll and a fourth roll. The belt comprises an embossing pattern of optical element shapes that is an inverse pattern of optical element shapes to be embossed at a first major surface of the sheet. The sheet remains in contact with the second roll until the sheet passes through the nip, where the pattern of optical element shapes on the belt is embossed into the first major surfaces of the sheet. Downstream of the third roll is a cooling area through which the belt passes.

    摘要: A thickness control system for a high speed tortilla sheeting machine can adjust a pinch point gap between a pair of sheeting rollers to maintain a generally uniform thickness of the produced “masa” (i.e., corn dough) sheet. The sheeting machine can include a pinch point gap adjustment device which guides at least one of the rollers through an arcuate path to thereby adjust a magnitude of the pinch point gap. The controller can direct one or more actuators to change the position of the roller along the archive path to thereby change the distance between the two sheeting rollers as desired to produce a masa sheet at the desired preset thickness.

The advancing roller has a respective adjusting system on each of its two bearings and associated with each first adjusting system, a second adjusting system is provided, by which it is possible to adjust an axial offset of the advancing roller relative to the stationary roller.

    摘要: The instant invention provides a polymer composition suitable for clear graphic cling film applications, method of producing the same, articles made therefrom, and methods for making such articles. The polymer composition suitable for clear graphic cling film applications, according to the present invention, comprises: (a) a polyolefin composition selected from the group consisting of a propylene-based composition as described herein, and an ethylene-based composition as described herein, and (b) one or more alkyl phosphate-based release agent; wherein when said polyolefin composition is formed into a clear graphic cling film having a 7 (±2) mils, said clear graphic cling film has a haze of less than 4 percent, for example from 0.3 to 4 percent, measured according to ASTM-D 1003.
