Abstract: A capacitor comprises a first winding member, where the first winding member comprises a first dielectric layer and a first conductive layer. A second winding member comprises a second dielectric layer and second conductive layer. The first winding member is interleaved, partially or entirely, with the second winding layer. A dielectric package is adapted to at least radially contain or border the first winding member and the second winding member. A first metallic member has a generally planar, radially extending surface for electrically and mechanically contacting an upper portion the first conductive layer. A second metallic member has a generally planar, radially extending surface for electrically and mechanically contacting a lower portion of the second conductive layer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for tuning crosstalk and return loss are provided. In the method and apparatus, a filter tunes return loss caused by a first external terminal and a second external terminal to compensate for a capacitive load induced by sizes of and a proximity between the first and second external terminals. The filter decouples the tuning of the return loss from tuning a magnitude and a phase of a crosstalk between a first transmission line network and a second transmission line network such that the return loss is tuned with minimal impact on the crosstalk.

Abstract: This application includes multiple embodiments related to capacitors. In some embodiments, capacitors are set forth as having terminal leads that extend in parallel and opposing axial directions. The embodiments discussed herein relate to a capacitor module including one or more anodized pellets for providing a charge storage within the capacitor module. The capacitor module can be configured as a surface mounted or non-surface mounted capacitor module. The capacitor module can include an array of anodized pellets arranged in multiple rows or columns of anodized pellets connected by conductive trace included in the capacitor module. In a non-surface mounted embodiment of the capacitor module, the capacitor module can include cathode and anode connections that are exclusively on the side surfaces of the capacitor module.
