    摘要: A structural fabric suitable for lining pipes and pipes lined with the structural fabric. The fabric includes a strengthening layer laminated to a watertight layer. The strengthening layer may include carbon fiber bundles stitched to a watertight layer of woven glass fibers. In some embodiments, the strengthening layer includes lengthwise oriented carbon fiber bundles and widthwise oriented carbon fiber bundles bound together in a non-woven, non-crimp arrangement. The widthwise oriented bundles can have about three-times greater weight per unit area than the lengthwise oriented bundles. The watertight layer provides a watertight barrier when impregnated with the curable polymer, applied to the interior surface of the pipe, and cured. The watertight layer may include lengthwise and widthwise oriented bundles of glass fiber woven into one of a satin and twill weave.

    摘要: A glass-fiber reinforced plastic pipe comprises a pipe body and an inner core fixedly provided on an inner wall of the pipe body, wherein an upper end of the inner core is lower than an upper end of the pipe body, so that a first heat-insulating space is formed between the upper ends of the inner core and the pipe body, and a lower end of the inner core is higher than a lower end of the pipe body, so that a second heat-insulating space is formed between the lower ends of the inner core and the pipe body. Due to the inner core as a reinforce structure, the shear resistance strength of the glass-fiber reinforced plastic pipe is improved without increasing the thickness of the pipe wall, and furthermore the mechanical performance of a supporting device of the cryogenic pressure vessel is improved.

    摘要: Described is a chromatography a chromatography apparatus that includes a microfluidic substrate, a coupler and a sealing fitting. The microfluidic substrate can include one or more chromatography columns, such as analytical columns or trap columns, and an inlet in communication with the one or more chromatography columns. The coupler is diffusion bonded to the surface of the microfluidic substrate so that an opening in the coupler is aligned to the inlet in the microfluidic substrate. The sealing fitting includes a heat-resistant sealant disposed in the opening of the coupler and in contact with the surface of the substrate. The coupler and sealing fitting enable a compact fluid-tight connection to the inlet of the microfluidic substrate that exhibits high tensile and torsional strength, and does not require the use of adhesives.

In one illustrative embodiment, a coupling assembly comprises a first fitting associated with a first end of a first transport member, a second fitting associated with a second end of a second transport member, and a seal. The seal is configured for placement around the first fitting and the second fitting when the first end of the first transport member is positioned relative to the second end of the second transport member. The seal is further configured to seal an interface between the first transport member and the second transport member. The seal is comprised of a material configured such that the seal has a level of conductivity within a selected range and such that a conductive pathway is formed between the first transport member and the second transport member.
