摘要: A laminate can include one or more thermally-insulative layers, each having a thermal conductivity that is less than or equal to 0.05 W/m·K, wherein the laminate has a thickness that is less than or equal to 500 μm and a thermal diffusivity that is less than or equal to 0.10 mm2/s. The laminate can include an adhesive layer, wherein aback surface of the laminate is at least partially defined by the adhesive layer or a liner layer that is removably disposed on the adhesive layer. The laminate can include a protective layer that defines at least a portion of a front surface of the laminate, wherein the protective layer has a thermal conductivity that is at least 3.5 times the thermal conductivity of each of the thermally-insulative layer(s).

摘要: The composition includes an acrylic monomer having a carboxylic acid group, an acrylic monomer having a hydroxyl group, at least one of an alkyl acrylate or alkyl methacrylate, and from 15 to 22 percent by weight of a compound composed of divalent segments L and at least two X groups. The divalent segments L are represented by formula L. Each segment L is independently directly bonded to two secondary N atoms, two tertiary N atoms, or a secondary and a tertiary N atom. Each R1 represents an alkylene group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and at least some of the R1 groups are —CH2—CH2—CH2—CH2—. Each X group is independently represented by the formula CH2═C(R)—C(O)—O—V—W—C(O)—. Articles and methods using the composition are also described.

摘要: Multilayer tubes including an inner layer and a tie layer are described. The inner layer includes a fluorinated polymer, and has an inner surface defining an inner diameter of the multilayer tube and an outer surface separated from the inner surface by a thickness of the inner layer. The tie layer includes a functionalized styrene block copolymer and is disposed on the outer surface of the inner layer. When the multilayer tube further includes an outer layer, the multilayer tubes exhibit improved peel strength as compared to multilayer tubes including the inner layer and outer layer alone. Methods of manufacturing the multilayer tubes and articles comprising the multilayer tubes are also described.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems to manage thermal runaway issues in energy storage systems. Exemplary embodiments include methods and systems having a compressible thermal barrier. The compressible thermal barrier is tailored in size (e.g., thickness, volume, etc.) to prevent thermal propagation between adjacent cells, modules and/or packs when a portion of an energy source has experienced a thermal event. The methods and systems mitigate thermal propagation such that a cell adjacent to a compromised cell (e.g., actively combusting cell) does not experience thermal runaway as it is shielded from dissipating heat and does not surpass a critical temperature. The present disclosure further relates to a battery module or pack with one or more battery cells and the compressible thermal barrier placed between adjacent cells.

The surface-treated copper foil of the present invention includes an electrolytic copper foil, at least one roughened layer that covers one surface of the electrolytic copper foil, an anti-rust layer that covers the at least one roughened layer, and a silane coupling agent-treated layer that covers the anti-rust layer, in which a surface of the surface-treated copper foil on a side of the layers (the surface to be bonded to the resin substrate) has a developed interfacial area ratio Sdr of 40% or less, an arithmetic mean peak curvature Spc of 200 mm−1 or less and a root mean square gradient Sdq of 0.30 to 0.90, or particles on the surface to be bonded of the surface-treated copper foil have an average particle size of 0.50 μm or less and an average particle length of 0.40 to 0.70 μm.
