摘要: A spectrometer includes an illuminating section; a receiving section configured to detect radiation reflected from an object including an optically inhomogeneous scattering medium; a hardware section configured to obtain a solution of an inverse problem to reconstruct an absorption spectrum of the optically inhomogeneous scattering medium, wherein the illuminating section includes at least one light-emitting diode source, a radiation spectral curve of which is divided, by at least two spectral filters having different spectral transmission curves, into at least two spectral regions, to form an equivalent radiation spectrum from at least two spectral sources, and wherein the hardware section applies the solution of the inverse problem based on information about a spectral content of the radiation of the illuminating section, a signal obtained in a form of a response from the optically inhomogeneous scattering medium, and a spectral sensitivity curve of the receiving section.

摘要: Under one aspect, a method of displaying medical information about a subject having a plurality of regions includes: resolving light obtained from each region of the plurality of regions into a corresponding spectrum; selecting a portion of each spectrum, the selected portion including medical information about the corresponding region; constructing an image based on the selected portion of each spectrum; and projecting the image onto the subject. Under another aspect, a method of displaying medical information about a subject that has a plurality of regions includes: resolving light obtained from each region of the plurality of regions into a corresponding spectrum; selecting a portion of each spectrum, the selected portion including medical information about the corresponding region; constructing a spectral image based on the selected portion of each spectrum; displaying an image of the plurality of regions; and displaying the spectral image overlying the image of the plurality of regions.

The method further includes communicating corrective action to the subject from the remote device and/or communicating corrective action for the subject from the remote device to a third party. The earpiece may include an audio headset, a hearing aid, or an earpiece fitting.

摘要: An in-ear earphone includes a body shaped to fit in the wearer's ear, a nozzle extending from the body towards the ear canal of the wearer's ear, the nozzle including an acoustic passage to conduct sound waves to the ear canal of the wearer, an ear canal sealing structure extending from the nozzle, and a sensor coupled to the nozzle. The sealing structure includes a thin sheet of material forming a hollow shape surrounding the nozzle and sensor, and the body, nozzle, sealing structure, and sensor are arranged such that when the earphone is located in the wearer's ear, the sensor faces the tragus of the ear, and the sealing structure simultaneously forms an acoustic seal to the entrance to the ear canal and provides optical coupling between the sensor and the tragus with minimal air gaps between the sensor, the sealing structure, and the tragus.

摘要: Vessel perfusion and myocardial blush are determined by analyzing fluorescence signals obtained in a static region-of-interest (ROI) in a collection of fluorescence images of myocardial tissue. The blush value is determined from the total intensity of the intensity values of image elements located within the smallest contiguous range of image intensity values containing a predefined fraction of a total measured image intensity of all image elements within the ROI. Vessel (arterial) peak intensity is determined from image elements located within the ROI that have the smallest contiguous range of highest measured image intensity values and contain a predefined fraction of a total measured image intensity of all image elements within the ROI. Cardiac function can be established by comparing the time differential between the time of peak intensity in a blood vessel and that in a region of neighboring myocardial tissue both pre and post procedure.
