摘要: Catalyst washcoats with improved porosity and methods for making the washcoats are provided. The process comprises incorporation of an oil-in-water macroemulsion into the catalyst slurry prior to washcoating the carrier substrate, and calcining the washcoated carrier substrate to remove the oil-in-water macroemulsion. Also provided are catalyst articles comprising the washcoat and methods for abatement of exhaust gas emissions.

摘要: An object of the present disclosure is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst demonstrating superior storage of NOx contained in exhaust gas.The exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure has a substrate, a first catalyst layer containing a catalytic metal for NOx reduction and a NOx storage material and formed on the substrate, and a second catalyst layer containing a catalytic metal for NOx oxidation and formed on the first catalyst layer. In the exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure, the value obtained by dividing the volume of all large pores having a pore volume of 1000 μm3 or more by the total volume of all medium pores of having a pore volume of 10 μm3 to 1000 μm3 in the second catalyst layer is 2.44 or less.

摘要: A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb structure body including porous partition walls defining a plurality of cells serving as fluid passages extending from an inflow end face to an outflow end face. The partition walls have a porosity of 45 to 65%; the open frontal area of the pores having an equivalent circle diameter of 10 μm or more, of the pores open on the surface of each partition wall, is 20 to 50%; the pore density of the pores having an equivalent circle diameter of 10 μm or more is 200 to 1,000 pores/mm2; the median opening diameter of the pores having an equivalent circle diameter of 10 μm or more is 40 to 60 μm; the circularity of the pores having an equivalent circle diameter of 10 μm or more is 1.8 to 4.0; and the partition walls have a wet area of 16,500 μm2 or more.

摘要: The present invention relates to an LED photocatalyst module comprising: a light supplying unit for irradiating light onto a photocatalyst so that the photocatalyst is activated; a photocatalyst purifying unit disposed spaced apart from the light supplying unit and purifying polluted air; and a discharging unit disposed spaced apart from the photocatalyst purifying unit and sucking in the air purified by the photocatalyst purifying unit and discharging the air to the outside, wherein the photocatalyst purifying unit includes a ceramic honeycomb structure in which a plurality of photocatalyst pores, coated with the photocatalyst, are combined in a honeycomb pattern, and the photocatalyst includes a porous metal oxide film and metal particles formed on a surface of the porous metal oxide film.

摘要: Provided are emissions treatment systems for an exhaust stream having an ammonia-generating component, such as a NOx storage reduction (NSR) catalyst or a lean NOx trap (LNT) catalyst, and an SCR catalyst disposed downstream of the ammonia-generating catalyst. The SCR catalyst can be a molecular sieve having the CHA crystal structure, for example SSZ-13 or SAPO-34, which can be ion-exchanged with copper. The LNT can be layered, having an undercoat washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and at least one NOx sorbent selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth elements, rare earth elements, and combinations thereof and a top washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and ceria in particulate form, the top washcoat layer being substantially free of alkaline earth components. The emissions treatment system is advantageously used for the treatment of exhaust streams from diesel engines and lean burn gasoline engines.

摘要: A catalyst with a porous, ceramic support body having a porosity which is formed by pores in at least a part of the ceramic support body, and which furthermore has a catalytically active washcoat coating applied to the ceramic support body, which catalytically active washcoat coating having a layer thickness, comprises a permanent catalytically inactive impregnation comprising at least one catalytically inactive inorganic component, and wherein the permanent inactive impregnation has a layer thickness and is present at least partially between a surface of the porous ceramic support body and the catalytically active washcoat coating is present in the pores of the ceramic support body in a region with reduced porosity underneath the surface of the ceramic support body.

摘要: Provided is a carrier for an exhaust gas purification catalyst containing aluminum borate particles having a peak (pore peak) exhibiting the highest intensity in a void volume diameter range of from 20 nm to 100 nm in a logarithmic differential void volume distribution measured using a mercury intrusion porosimeter, in order to provide a new catalyst support capable of effectively suppressing a decrease in catalytic performance caused by sulfur (S) component contained in the exhaust gas, in the case of supporting Pd as a catalytically active component.
