摘要: Methods and systems for adjusting a weight of a peripheral device while presenting content to a head mounted display are disclosed. One method includes processing instructions for rendering a virtual reality scene in the head mounted display. The virtual reality scene includes a virtual object. The method also includes receiving pairing of the peripheral device for use with the head mounted display for rendering the virtual reality scene and determining a movement of the virtual object. The method causes sending of instructions to the peripheral device for execution by a controller of the peripheral device to move a weight in the peripheral device. The weight is moved to provide a correlation to the determined movement of the virtual object.

摘要: Logic on a first remote device causes the capture of personal data identifying a user from an identification card. The logic generates a hash value from the personal data using a hashing algorithm and signs the hash value with a digital signature created using a private key paired with a public key. The logic transmits, over a network, the signed hash value and the public key from the remote device to a distributed public database for storage. The logic receives, over the network, a transaction number from the distributed public database. The logic then transmits the transaction number and the personal data to a second remote device. Logic on the second remote device verifies that the hash value in the signed hash value is the same as a generated hash value and verifies that the signed hash value was signed with the private key.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for managing motion sickness of a user while the user is wearing a head-mounted device (HMD). One method includes an operation for monitoring the physical characteristics of the user while wearing the HMD that is presenting a virtual reality with multimedia content, where the physical characteristics including motions of the user. The multimedia content includes audio and video for presentation on a display of the HMD. Additionally, the method includes an operation for determining if the user is experiencing motion sickness based on the monitoring of the physical characteristics of the user while the virtual reality is being presented. When the user is experiencing motion sickness, supplemental sound is delivered to the user, where the supplemental sound is combined with sound from the multimedia content for delivery to the user, and the supplemental sound is defined to decrease the motion sickness experienced by the user.

摘要: A wafer is positioned on a wafer support apparatus beneath an electrode such that a plasma generation region exists between the wafer and the electrode. Radiofrequency signals of a first signal frequency are supplied to the plasma generation region to generate a plasma within the plasma generation region. Formation of a plasma instability is detected within the plasma based on supply of the radiofrequency signals of the first signal frequency. After detecting formation of the plasma instability, radiofrequency signals of a second signal frequency are supplied to the plasma generation region in lieu of the radiofrequency signals of the first signal frequency to generate the plasma. The second signal frequency is greater than the first signal frequency and is set to cause a reduction in ion energy within the plasma and a corresponding reduction in secondary electron emission from the wafer caused by ion interaction with the wafer.

The webpage is from an online content-aggregation website and includes a plurality of panels containing a plurality of content items. The software selectively pre-loads into a cache a resource associated with a content item in a panel if the content item is relatively persistent in comparison to other content items. The cache is controlled by the browser. The software retrieves the resource from the cache upon receiving command from a user and presents the resource through the browser.

摘要: A method for an online video game or application service system includes running a video game or application on an application host server at a data center, an uncompressed video stream being produced therefrom. The uncompressed video stream is encoded into compressed video stream, which is then transmitted over the Internet to an output client device of a user. The output client device decompresses the compressed video stream and displays live video on a screen. User control input transmitted from an input client device is delivered to the application host server. The user control input includes game or application commands. The input client device is associated with the user and is separate from the output client device. Responsive to receiving the game or application commands, the application host server generates a new uncompressed video stream.

The IMC includes an output of the first, second, and third circuits coupled to an input of an RF transmission line. The first circuit and the second circuit provide isolation between a kHz RF signal sent through the first circuit and a low frequency MHz RF signal sent through the second circuit.

摘要: A computer-implemented system and method are described for performing video compression by an online video game service is provided. One example method includes receiving user input by a server and the user input is received from a client device over a network established between the client device and the server. The user input is from an input device associated with the client device and the client device and the input device are used to access the server to play a video game. The method further includes executing the video game on the server while receiving user input from the input device, and the video game produces a video output including a sequence of video images of the video game. Encoding each of the sequence of video images in a video encoding resource of the server to generate a sequence of encoded video frames and transmitting the sequence of encoded video frames by the server over the communication channel to the client device for decoding to produce a corresponding sequence of decoded video frames. The sequence of decoded video frames is configured to be rendered on a display device associated with the client device. The method further includes detecting a change in a communication channel characteristic of the communication channel, and the detected change is based on feedback information received by the server. The feedback information is received from the client device and dynamically adjusting a compression ratio for said encoding of the sequence of encoded video frames based on the detected change in the communication channel characteristic.

摘要: Software for online active learning receives content posted to an online stream at a website. The software converts the content into an elemental representation and inputs the elemental representation into a probit model to obtain a predictive probability that the content is abusive. The software also calculates an importance weight based on the elemental representation. And the software updates the probit model using the content, the importance weight, and an acquired label if a condition is met. The condition depends on an instrumental distribution. The software removes the content from the online stream if a condition is met. The condition depends on the predictive probability, if an acquired label is unavailable.

摘要: Audio fingerprinting and other media matching technologies can be used to identify broadcast media, such as television shows and radio broadcasts. A user device can record image, audio, and/or video information and upload information to a matching service that is able to use matching technology to identify the media and provide supplemental content or information to the user. The user might receive information identifying a product in an advertisement, identifying an actor on screen in a movie at a particular time, or other such information. In some embodiments, the user can receive access to a digital copy of the captured media, such as the ability to download a copy of a program in which a user expressed interest. Since a user might capture media information after the point of interest, a device can buffer a window of recently captured media in order to attempt to identify the intended media.
