Abstract: A window for a display device includes: a film having flexibility; and at least one coating layer disposed on the film. As tensile stress acting on the film increases, the film is elastically deformed in a first range of strains of the film and plastically deformed in a second range of strains of the film greater than the first range, the first and second ranges being defined by a relationship between the tensile stress and a strain of the film in accordance with the tensile stress. The film has a yield strain in a third range from about 1.9% to about 2.25%, and the yield strain is defined as the strain of the film when a yield stress of the relationship in the first range is applied to the film.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a support film, and a polymer layer. The display panel includes a display area comprising a first area that is bendable, and a non-display area adjacent to the display area. The support film is coupled to a bottom surface of the display panel. The support film includes a first groove overlapping with the first area. The polymer layer is disposed in the first groove. The polymer layer includes a material with higher flexibility than the support film. Angles formed by the top surface of the support film and inner sides of the support film defining the first groove are acute angles.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to plaster boards and methods for making them. For example, one aspect of the disclosure is a plaster board comprising one or more continuous layers of material disposed within a body of hardened plaster material, the first side and second side of each continuous layer of material being substantially covered by the hardened plaster material. In certain such embodiments, each continuous layer of material includes a polymer (e.g., a damping polymer) disposed on a carrier sheet. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for making a plaster board that involves drying a wet body of plaster material while a continuous layer of material or precursor therefor is disposed within it.

Abstract: An optical device includes an array of lenses and a plurality of segments disposed under the array of lenses. The plurality of segments corresponds to a plurality of images. Upon tilting the device at different viewing angle, the array of lenses presents images sequentially. In some examples, individual ones of the segments can comprise specular reflecting, transparent, diffusely reflecting, and/or diffusely transmissive features. In some examples, individual ones of the segments can comprise transparent and non-transparent regions. The images can produce one or more optical effects.
