Abstract: Elastomeric articles, such as gloves, made from more than one layer, are provided. The gloves can include a first (grip side) layer in which a first colorant is compounded or integrated and a second (donning side) layer in which a second colorant is compounded or integrated. Alternatively, the gloves can include a translucent first layer and a second layer in which a colorant is compounded or integrated. Either arrangement can enable a breach of the first layer to be more easily detected, either due to the high level of contrast between the first layer and the second when a first colorant and a second colorant are utilized, or due to the translucence of the first layer as compared to the donning side layer, where the intensity of the second layer is increased upon a breach of the translucent first layer.

Abstract: A head-mounted display including a first optical system is described. The first optical system includes a partial reflector and a multilayer reflective polarizer disposed adjacent to and spaced apart from the partial reflector. The multilayer reflective polarizer is curved about orthogonal first and second axes and includes at least one layer that is substantially optically uniaxial at at least one location. Each chief ray that passes through the first optical system is first incident on the multilayer reflective polarizer at an angle of incidence less than 30 degrees.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a molding made from blowing agent-containing foam comprising at least one fiber (F), wherein the at least one fiber (F) is partially introduced into the blowing agent-containing foam. The two ends of the respective fiber (F) that are not surrounded by the blowing agent-containing foam thus project from one side of the corresponding molding. The present invention also provides the molding as such. The present invention further provides a panel comprising at least one such molding, produced by the process according to the invention, and at least one further layer (S1). The present invention also provides for the production of the panels of the invention and for the use thereof, for example as a rotor blade in wind turbines.

The integral optical stack may include first and second lenses, a partial reflector, a reflective polarizer curved about two orthogonal axes, and a quarter wave retarder. The reflective polarizer is curved about two orthogonal axes and includes at least one layer that is substantially optically biaxial at at least one first location on the at least one layer away from an optical axis of the optical stack and substantially optically uniaxial at at least one second location away from the optical axis.

Abstract: Bonded polymeric film laminates comprising core polymer film layers individually coated on at least one side with a heat fusible polymer layer and fusion bonded together by the application of heat and pressure at a temperature at which each heat fusible polymer coating bonds together adjacent core polymer film layers, where the melting point or softening temperature of the heat fusible polymer is at least 3° C. below that of the core layer polymer, and the lamination temperature is at or above the melting point or softening temperature of the heat fusible coating polymer, where the heat fusible polymer coating layers are thinner than the core polymer film layers, where the coated core polymer film layers are uniaxially stretched by 2× to 40×, and the stretched coated core polymer film layers are cross-plied. Methods for forming the laminates, coated films from which the laminates are formed, and articles formed from the laminates are also disclosed.

Abstract: Optical systems including a partial reflector, a reflective polarizer, and a quarter wave retarder disposed between the partial reflector and the reflective polarizer are described. The reflective polarizer is curved about two orthogonal axes and has at least one location having a radial distance r1 from an optical axis passing through an apex of the reflective polarizer and a displacement s1 from a plane perpendicular to the optical axis at an apex of the reflective polarizer, where s1/r1 is at least 0.1. The optical system is adapted to provide an adjustable dioptric correction.
