摘要: An infiniband architecture switch, includes a plurality of ports each configured to receive switch parameters, identify at least one data-packet error condition responsive to the switch parameters, generate a trap-initialization signal when the at least one data-packet error condition matches a trap-error condition, and a switch manager configured to receive the trap-initialization signal. A method for generating a switch manager control signal includes identifying at least one data-packet error condition in an infiniband architecture switch, determining when the at least one data-packet error condition matches a trap-error condition, generating a trap-initialization signal responsive to the trap-error condition, and forwarding the trap-initialization signal to a switch manager.

摘要: Described is a bus station (e.g., a sensor, an actuator, a gateway) which performs a primary device function and a secondary function (e.g., a bus monitor function). To perform the secondary function, the bus station is equipped with a bus monitor arrangement which allows the bus station to access, to detect and to further process telegram traffic carried on the bus system. Also described is a network equipped with a plurality of such bus stations and a method for carrying out such monitoring with the aid of the bus stations.

摘要: A networked digital security system is disclosed that preferably includes a centralized administrator web server coupled via a communication network such as the Internet to a plurality of customer servers and-a plurality of customer work stations. The centralized web server advantageously provides a point of control and management of the networked digital security system. The customer servers and customer work stations are preferably located at the customer's monitored sites. The customer servers are coupled to one or more intelligent camera units, which are preferably fully integrated intelligent units that gather, analyze, and transmit video, audio, and associated detected alarm event information to their associated customer server and the administrator web server. The camera units also include an intelligent automatic gain controller, an encoder buffer controller, and a network bandwidth priority controller. The system supports several compression algorithm standards.

摘要: Filtering trees for selectively notifying subscribers of events are provided, and are constructed with OR nodes to substantially reduce their size. The filtering trees have nodes representing event variables that ultimately branch to leaf nodes thereunder, and the leaf nodes identify which of a set of queries are satisfied by an actual event. A mechanism recursively merges nodes of trees into a single tree, and uses OR nodes when nodes cannot be combined, to essentially add a parallel path in the resulting tree to traverse. Nodes that can be combined are those that represent the same event variable, and may have data points that are merged into a combined node. Threshold gains in efficiency may be evaluated to determine whether the original trees should be kept instead of the resulting tree.

摘要: A method and system for tracking and processing errors in a distributed computer system. As an application encounters an error, a centralized system intercepts and assumes the processing of that error event. The central error processing may be used with a distributed network connecting the applications running on various user computers. Upon receipt of an error message from an application, the system creates an informative error package, propagates appropriate error alert to relevant subsystems, and attempts to resolve the error. The error may be resolved in various ways. For example, the system may select and dispatch appropriate help information to the user; or the system may locate an alternative resource to substitute for the failed resource. The system may prioritize errors when there is more than one error still unresolved at any given time. In addition, the system may filter errors that require different levels of response and the system may direct errors to resources capable of assisting in resolving the error.

摘要: A fault information collection program capable of accurately determining redundancy of information related to an identical fault even in cases where information indicating the same fault of the same target of monitoring is received from multiple devices. When new fault information including fault detection date and time is input, the latest fault information indicating a fault related to the fault identical with that of the new fault information is acquired from a message information storage means storing a plurality of past fault information including detection dates and times of faults. It is then determined whether or not a predetermined messaging interval has elapsed since the fault detection date and time indicated by the latest fault information until the fault detection date and time indicated by the new fault information. If the messaging interval has elapsed, the new fault information is stored in the message information storage means as valid fault information.
