摘要: A method for making optical preforms of optical elements without residual stress or distortion is provided. In this method, an optical material is supplied between upper and lower molds. The upper mold has a plurality of recesses arranged in a predetermined pitch, and each recess corresponds to a first surface shape of the optical element. The lower mold has a plurality of recesses facing the recesses of the upper mold and each recess of the lower mold corresponds to a second surface shape of the optical element. The supplied optical material is pressed between the upper and lower molds to be a set of optical preforms. The set of optical preforms is processed by die punching or tool cutting to separate each optical preform from the set of optical preforms. Each optical preform is used for producing an optical element by further pressing. Alternatively, optical element can be formed directly by the press molding process.

摘要: A composite insulator-producing compression mold device including a pair of molding units each having a recess for the formation of a housing of a composite insulator. At least one partition plate is fitted to a first one of the molding units near the composite insulator housing-forming recess and at a location radially outwardly from the recess. An urging mechanism is provided for urging the partition plate toward the second molding unit such that an outer end portion of the partition plate may project toward the second molding unit from a parting face of the first molding unit when the molding units are opened. When the molding units are closed, the partition plate is received within the first molding unit. Another mechanism is provided for preventing the partition plate from being detached from the first molding unit. As the molding units are to be closed, the outer end portion of the partition plate located outside the first molding unit is brought into contact with a mold-parting face of the second molding unit by the urging mechanism. Accordingly, an insulating macromolecular material fed into the recess for the formation of the housing is prevented from flowing radially outwardly between the parting faces.

摘要: Moulding tool (21), including an upper (22) and a lower (23) mound half, each with its recess, these recesses together forming a cavity (24) of the tool. The upper half (22) has a diaphragm (27) defining the cavity (24), on the rear side of which there is a space (31). Cores (25, 26) are fixed in the lower half (23), the ends (36) of theses cores engaging against the diaphragm (27). Raw material, e.g. plastics, is injected through a sprue (33) under high pressure into the cavity (24). Oil under pressure is pumped (34) through a duct (32) into the space (31) to keep the diaphragm (27) into engagement against the ends (36) of the cores. The plastics is thus prevented from penetrating between the ends (36) of the cores and the diaphragm (27), and friction forces between the diaphragm (27) and core (26) prevents the latter from being deflected laterally by the injected plastics. The manufactured products are free from flash, and disturbances in production and repair costs due to spoiled cores are small.

摘要: This invention relates to a molding apparatus capable of producing flashless molded parts due to a perfect surface-to-surface mating of a pair of molds. The molding apparatus comprises an upper holding means for holding at least one upper mold having a path in which a moldable material is passable, and a lower holding means for holding at least one lower mold having a cavity, wherein a certain amount of fluid substance is filled between a bottom surface of the lower mold and the lower holding means, thereby the lower mold being floatable on the fluid substance and movable along the lower holding means, subsequently a joint between the upper mold bottom surface and the lower mold top surface being realized perfectly due to a back pressure of the fluid substance.
