摘要: The present invention relates to methods and compositions for assessing the quality of microarrays. In particular, the invention relates to the use of quality control probes that are synthesized on the microarray monomer by monomer in a step-by-step synthesis. By assessing the degree of signal from the quality control probes and determining their deviation from expected signal intensities, the quality of microarray synthesis can be ascertained. The invention further relates to a method of detecting defects occurring during storage or processing of the microarray. The invention further relates to a method of using a computer to identify microarrays that have had a defect or defects during synthesis, storage, or processing.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for synthesizing a plurality of compounds such as biopolymers on the surface of supports. The synthesis comprises a plurality of steps in which reagents for conducting the synthesis are deposited on the surface of the support to form precursors of the chemical compounds and, ultimately, the chemical compounds themselves. An error in the deposition may occur in one or more of the plurality of steps. A reagent for forming the chemical compounds is deposited on the surface of the support. A determination is made as to whether an error occurred in the depositing of the reagent. If an error is detected, the support is treated to re-deposit at least some of those reagents that were not correctly deposited. In one approach the support is treated to stabilize precursors of the chemical compounds, the source of the error is corrected, and the reagent applied above is re-deposited on the surface.

摘要: Sample-analyzing device 100 has a substrate 1 having a sample-loading face F1 having two or more dents 3 each formed for independently storing two or more droplets containing an analyte. The sample-loading face F1 is divided at least into a first area F11 coated with a hydrophobic organic molecular film 2 and two or more second areas F12 of which the inside is not coated with the organic molecular film 2 and the entire peripheral area is surrounded by the first area. Each of the bottom face of the dents 3 constitutes the second area F12 and each of the peripheral area of the dents 3 including its internal side surface is formed with the organic molecular film 2 coating the first area. The organic molecular film 2 is formed by using an organic molecule and bound to the face F1 via covalent bonds.

摘要: A system for high throughput sample preparation and analysis. The system includes a chromatography column including an insoluble matrix. A fluidic circuit is capable of passing a fluid over the insoluble matrix in a first direction such that an analyte in the fluid binds to the insoluble matrix, and back-eluting an elution fluid over the insoluble matrix in a second direction opposite the first direction to output a sample that includes the analyte. A controller controls the fluidic circuit to periodically perform the steps of passing the fluid over the insoluble matrix and back-eluting the elution fluid over the insoluble matrix to output a plurality of samples at a periodic rate.

摘要: A method for manufacturing chemical sensors is provided for the process of the wafer level chemical sensor. The method is to form a frame around a certain area on the chemical sensor for locating sensing material, and then to fill the Sol-Gel sensing material into the frame. Besides, the present invention further provides a method for dividing the chemical sensor chips employed in such wafer level chemical sensor. The character of such method is to stick an adhesion object such as blue tape on the backside of the substrate, and then to cut in advance a scribe line around the rim of the chemical sensor before filling the sensing material into the sensor. Finally, the plurality of the chemical sensors will be divided into individual ones after the process of calcining or furnacing.
