Abstract: A living vehicle occupant detection system has a control unit that is mounted within a vehicle, a temperature sensor which is mounted within the interior passenger compartment of the vehicle and is communicatively coupled (either wired or wirelessly) to the control unit, and a life detection unit that will indicate the presence and location of a heartbeat within the interior of the vehicle and that is communicatively coupled (either wired or wirelessly) to the control unit. A carbon monoxide (CO) sensor may also be installed within the interior of the vehicle to optimize CO detection and is coupled (either wired or wirelessly) to the control unit.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and a computer readable medium are provided for a vehicle containing multiple blade processors for performing vehicle and/or infotainment tasks, functions, and operations. The blade processors can be included in a crate having a first communication zone defining a trusted network within the vehicle to connect with trusted computational devices and/or modules provided or certified by the vehicle manufacturer but not untrusted computational devices and/or modules provided by vehicle occupants, a second communication zone defining an untrusted network to connect with the untrusted computational devices and/or modules, and a third communication zone providing power and data transmission to the blade processors. A master blade processor can assign a component and/or module requiring a blade processor for execution to a selected blade processor.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and products for associating external devices to vehicles and usage of said association. One method obtains information from one or more mobile devices that are connected to the external device. The information is used to determine that the external device is associated with a vehicle, whereby another mobile device is enabled to determine that it is being located on the vehicle based on the mobile device being connected to the external device. Another method obtains an indication that a mobile device is connected to an external device. A database is accessed to retrieve an associated of the external device with a vehicle, whereby it is deduced that the mobile device is located in or on the vehicle. In response to the deduction, a predetermined action may be performed.

Abstract: A vehicle is provided that, while the vehicle is in motion, receives a plurality of transaction options from a plurality of vendors (each transaction option comprising an offer for an occupant to purchase a good or service), in response and based on user preferences, pre-filters the plurality of transaction options to identify which of the plurality of transaction options to present to the occupant by a user interface, in response to identifying a transaction option to present to the occupant, renders the user interface for the display to request authorization from the user to allow a communication to the vendor associated with the identified transaction option, receives user input associated with the identified transaction option regarding authorization of the associated transaction, and based on the user input and while the vehicle is in motion, automatically sends, by a secure session, a first communication to the vendor on behalf of the user. The first communication provides sensitive user information to the vendor to complete the transaction.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, managing services performed on a vehicle can comprise receiving, at a service provider system and over a communications network, a request for maintenance of one or more vehicles. The request can be received from an on-board diagnostic system of the one or more vehicles or one or more servers of a third-party system. The service provider system can read a set of management rules, a set of service configuration information, and/or a set of user or vehicle specific maintenance and use information for the one or more vehicles from one or more databases. Logistics for the service can be determined based on applying the management rules and using the set of service configuration information and the set of user or vehicle specific maintenance and use information. Instructions related to the service can be provided to the one or more vehicles based on the determined logistics.

The system maintains a set of user or vehicle records for each of one or more users or vehicles and a set of equipment records for each of a plurality of pieces of equipment. The system receives a request to exchange a power source of the vehicle, identifies a service level of a plurality of service levels for the requested service based at least in part on the set of user or vehicle records and selects an available power source for the exchange based on the identified at least one service level and the set of equipment records.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for facilitating a user to configure and retrieve personalized settings for an information panel in a driving apparatus. The information panel system may be configured to store a plurality information panel configurations. Different information panel configurations may correspond to different users of the driving apparatus. Users may be identified when inside the driving apparatus by capturing their biometric information. Following identification, an information panel configuration corresponding to the identified user may be retrieved and configured on a display device. The displayed information panel configuration may include an arrangement of display items. The display items may have been previously selected by the identified user, and the selection may have included choosing an information panel template with one or more partitioned areas and selecting one or more display items to place in different partitioned areas.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, provisioning an amount of power for one or more vehicles can comprise receiving a request indicating a requirement for an amount of power for the one or more vehicles. The request can indicate the requirement for the amount of power for the one or more vehicles individually or in total. A set of management rules can be read from one or more databases. A set of service configuration information and a set of vehicle specific information for the one or more vehicles can also be read from one or more databases. One or more power sources to meet the requirement for the amount of power for the one or more vehicles can be determined based on applying the management rules and using the set of service configuration information and the set of vehicle information and an indication of the determined power sources can be provided.
