    Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, and/or computer program product embodiments for processing of messages at a media device for analysis purposes. An embodiment operates by transmitting a message request from a media device to a messaging server. In response, the media device receives a message response containing a message and messenger identifier. The media device generates a hash value of an identifier associated with the media device and the messenger identifier. The media device then determines whether the hash value maps into a control group. Finally, the media device processes the message based on whether the hash value maps into the control group.

    Abstract: A method of optimizing network traffic visibility resources comprises receiving, by a controller associated with a network traffic visibility system, information indicative of operation of the network traffic visibility system. Specifically, embodiments provide for managing event-structured observability data in a federated network and database platform.     Abstract: An example method may include blocks to initiate a network performance analysis on the enterprise network; and receive a translated recording from a backend computing device to be executed as part of the network performance analysis. Additional blocks may add the translated recording to a set of tests in a queue to be executed on the enterprise network; and execute a primary set of low-level instructions of the translated recording using a headless browser. Further blocks may in response to a failed result of the primary set of low-level instructions, execute an alternative set of low-level instructions using the headless browser. Furthermore, blocks may, record, in an activity log, results of executing the translated recording, including at least a total execution time of the executed low-level instructions; and upload the activity log to the backend computing device.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein describe techniques for prioritizing applications based on application usage data. The space in the TCAM in many network devices is limited. That is, there may be more applications (and corresponding QoS settings) than there is space in the TCAM. In the embodiments herein, a netflow collector monitors the traffic flows in the network devices. A application usage tracker can identify which applications generate traffic in which network devices. That is, the application usage tracker can identify, based on the information provided by the netflow collector, the application usage of each network device. The central management tool can prune the applications that are not used by the network device and generate QoS settings only for applications that are used by the network device.
