摘要: A method of routing a packet in a network is described. The network includes a plurality of nodes implementing Information Centric Networking (ICN) routing or content centric networking and routing. The method includes receiving the packet at a node implementing ICN routing, the packet comprising an Internet Protocol (IP) header and a packet payload, wherein the packet comprises a request packet for requesting content from the network. The method further includes extracting from the packet payload a content identifier for the requested content and forwarding the packet to a next hop node in the network based on the content identifier extracted from the packet payload.

摘要: A communication network device facilitates communication between devices and/or applications in a network without requiring each device to register with every other device or application. The communication network device may generate and assign a unique identifier to each device or application upon registration and store a role of the device or application (e.g., sender or receiver or both) in addition to capability and compatibility information. The communication network device may then dynamically broker and manage communications from each of the devices or applications to other devices and applications in real-time. Using a communication network device, communications may be directed to devices or applications without requiring a sending device to know of the recipient's network address. Additionally, the communication network device allows for the direct targeting of communications to specific applications. Accordingly, in some arrangements, two applications running on the same device may receive different communications from another device or application.

摘要: A communication apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored in the memory. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a first network including the communication apparatus and a first device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a second network including the communication apparatus and a second device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to determine a target IP address. Determining the target IP address includes identifying a particular IP address, which is an IP address of the communication apparatus used in the second type network. Determining the target IP address includes generating the target IP address to be within a particular range using the particular IP address. The particular range is a range of IP addresses that are not available in the second type network. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to assign the target IP address to the first device.

摘要: A method for establishing a connection between two nodes in a communication network without use of a centralized directory or mapping identifiers includes: receiving a lookup message from another node in the communication network that includes a lookup term; determining if a target node in a local directory cache can be identified that satisfies the lookup term; and, if such a node is identified, establishing a connection to the target node and forwarding the lookup message, or, if no such node is identified, forwarding the lookup message to other nodes in the network with which the node has an active communication connection.

摘要: Technologies for switching network traffic include a network switch. The network switch includes one or more processors and communication circuitry coupled to the one or more processors. The communication circuity is capable of switching network traffic of multiple link layer protocols. Additionally, the network switch includes one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed, cause the network switch to receive, with the communication circuitry through an optical connection, network traffic to be forwarded, and determine a link layer protocol of the received network traffic. The instructions additionally cause the network switch to forward the network traffic as a function of the determined link layer protocol. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要: Systems, methods and devices for location-based services are disclosed in the present invention. A multiplicity of network devices, a database, and a server platform in network-based communication. The database stores a space-network model binding IP addresses and physical locations. The server platform is operable to generate at least one geofence in the space-network model and specify entitlements for the location-based services within the at least one geofence. The at least one geofence and specific entitlement are stored to the database. The multiplicity of network devices are configured to learn the space-network model and the at least one geofence and perform tasks based on the entitlements specified for the location-based services within the at least one geofence.

摘要: Methods for configuring a monitoring device to communicate with a service server are provided. The method includes the monitoring device sending a message including a monitoring device identifier used by a control server to identify the service server associated with the monitoring device, receiving one or more service server addresses associated with the identified service sever from the control server, and establishing a service connection between the monitoring device and the identified service server using the one or more addresses received from the control server. A control server adapted to configure a monitoring device in a monitoring system and a method for configuring the control server are also provided.

摘要: System and methods for delivering geofence geometries to a physical map are disclosed. At least one user device is constructed and configured in communication with a server associated at least one database. The at least one user device receives data regarding a scale unit of the physical map and latitude and longitude of all corners of the physical map. The at least one user device converts the latitude and longitude to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses via communication with the server. The at least one user device queries the at least one database for at least one geofence geometry associated with the IP addresses. The at least one user device decouples the at least one geofence geometry from the at least one database and delivers as an overlay to the physical map.

摘要: A packet processing method, including a network node of an access network receiving a first packet sent by a user terminal, where the first packet is used to request an Internet Protocol (IP) address from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server and the network node obtains a second packet, where the second packet includes the first packet, information about a port, and a Media Access Control (MAC) address of the user terminal, the port is a port through which the network node receives the first packet, and the second packet is a packet except a DHCP packet. Additionally, the network node sends the second packet to a controller.
